Island Pharmacy

I really like this pharmacy. The staff are very nice. The two female pharmacists (Jen and Dayle) are always very knowledgable and willing to help answer any questions. They also encourage calling anytime you have questions about anything. They seem to really care about their patients.

The young gaffer,,who claims to be the sole owner and proprietor of this Pharmacy..... "Michael Forbes" is not a pleasant person and he makes your shopping experience uncomfortable. By harassing the seniors who are shopping in this store.....

Went into the pharmacy and Dayle was the first lady I talked to when I'm getting my prescription. She is a very kind, caring and very helpful, lots of patience and explained clearly what I need to do. Thank you so much Dayle, you made me feel better after deciding a tough decision. I'll always remember you, it was important to me.

Very slow service. Waited a week for my prescription to be filled apparently due it being a compound,yet when I did go to pick it up I had to wait while the pharmacist and assistant attempt to resolve an island with the customer infront of me. He was supposed to be picking up a compound prescription that was over looked, the pharmacist told that he would have it prepared in 10 mins!!

The staff here are awesome and really doing their best during this hard time. I have been in several times and they have done all they can to assist me in anyway. Even personally delivering a medication after hours.I am a regular here and felt a need to put in a review seeing the negative ones. And first hand witnessing the abuse these girls have taken by entitled people. Any regular would know that Dayle is an interm manager. Jenn is on leave and I imagine Dayle is just following instructions left by Jenn to keep status quo until she returns. She just got to be the lucky one that gets all the disgruntled people who don't like the new rules we are all forced to follow during COVID.How would these same people act in a big chain pharmacy? Where the pharmacists were told to NOT get counters and only to counsel and check prescriptions. Where they were flat out not answering the phone AT ALL?? Wait times in days and not hours. I don't understand how people can be so cruel to young girls just trying to do their jobs.

They were very accommodating. I had to get a new prescription filled and had a hard time finding somewhere who compounds same day. It was close to closing time and they made it happen. I was so thankful because it took a while to be able to see a doctor in the first place and didn't want my daughter to suffer any further. Thank you to the pharmacy staff!

Staff here are great. They've been slammed in the middle of this whole COVID thing and Dayle, Kat and Richard worked extra hard to get me my medications even with their supplies being shorted!I think the recent bad reviews need to take a step back and realize that in the heat of COVID things are going to talk longer and that all the staff are under increased stress.

Edit 2: They’re good to my friend too when we visited today and she can only get a special medicine from here so it’s 5 stars now.Edit: They did call back and seemed flustered, fine. Three stars, the decency is still there.Wholly unnecessary and careless behaviour— shouldn’t it be easy to tell someone to call another pharmacy for their refill from the start, instead of promising they could order it in there and they’ll call back, only to, almost a month later, not call back and then tell me I have a completely different prescription I don’t need in stock, and if I’d like the one that’s well expired by now, then I should have called Rexall’s to begin with, but they will try to arrange something. I called Rexall’s to find out and they did transfer it. Annoying.

After almost 15 years of great service, I am sad to say that I will be leaving solely to due the increable bad service and support of the new manage Dayle Larson

Thanks for your help today! I went hiking and had an allergic reaction to something in the air (don’t know yet what it was) but the lady behind the counter helped me promptly and competent. Thank you
