Okotoks airport is under new management and we couldn’t be more happier with this change. As we have friends and family in the immediate area, pickup access is convenient as well, staff is amazingly friendly and pleasant to work with.

uncontrolled airspace so once you are airborne you would be in the practice area which would save alot of time, plus the school's environment is perfect.Highly recommend it

I’ve flown in here a few times now due to family in the area. It’s conveniently located right in Okotoks in a very nice neighborhood with all the services near by. The airport manager was wonderful in making sure we were situated and serviced while we stayed for our visit. Highly recommended

EDIT: Okotoks under new management is very reasonable. Called today and was approved to fly in later today after 5 minutes on the phone!I did some training at CFX2 in 2012/2013 and had a pleasant experience. However since then it seems to have gone down hill. I tried multiple times over the past year to get permission to land to visit family in Okotoks. The manager responsible never answered his phone and anyone else I contacted said I had to talk to the manager or be charged a $300 landing fee. It is very frustrating to have a nice airport like this completely off limits to locals trying to interact with their local airport.
