Service was great, food and drinks were delicious.We always came for happy hour and order plates from the main menu as well. For Sunday, they had the lobster tail on rice special along with the mango margarita. We also had the clams, ginger fish, chicken wings, geniuses beer, old fashion bourbons, and coconut.There are meter parking on the street or limited 2 hours free parking spots towards 8th and 7th.Will be back!

Amazing tasting menu! Stopped in last night and our server was able to fit us in the private room in the back which was quite nice.We ordered the 11 course tasting menu and it was more food then we could finish. I found the tasting menu to be a good value given the number of items and the seafood included. All of the food was fresh and fragrant, my favorite dish was the sablefish. I tried to get photos of all courses but, the service was faster then the camera.I have been to many other Banana Leaf locations and this was the nicest I have seen. I would recommend checking them out.

The world just needs more Malaysian food! It's a gem in Kits! Chow kway tiu noodles were great. Pineapple fried rice will please anytime. Pandan dessert was an unexpected delight!

All around, drinks, food, dessert was good. We walked along West Broadway for Greek Festival but still decided to have a good sit down lunch here.

Didn't realize there was a Banana Leaf in Kitsilano (W. Broadway passed MacDonald St). We came for early dinner after walking around Jericho Beach (eastside).We ordered the calamari, mee goreng and green beans. The calamari was tender and their cilantro, coconut lime dipping sauce was different than the usual sauce, but it was refreshing with today hot weather.The mee goreng was flavorful with the blend of different ingredients such as beef, shrimp, egg, tofu, and tomato. I've been to the other locations and the one here seemed to be better.The green beans had a little spice to it, the greens beans had a nice cruspy crunch and just the right amount of shrimp paste. Sometimes I find other places put too much of the paste, which then overpowers the dish. Today, this one was great.The service was great and the interior was clean & modern.

Wonderful and very tasty dinner we’ve had here !! And, great server who gave us recommendations (as we were definitely newbies to Malaysian cuisine). We started with an appy that was warm roti with a delicious dipping sauce !

Came here for dinner and enjoyed pretty much everything. We got the roti canai, lamb and beef skewers, seafood gulai, ipoh hor fun, hainanese chicken and eggplant with basil. Roti canai was a bit too sweet than what I'm used to but everything else tasted very authentic. I love Malaysian food and think I've tried all the Malaysian places I can find during my travels to Vancouver and this is one of the top ones.Service was quick and friendly.Pricing seemed expensive when I first looked at the menu but the portion sizes are definitely proportionate to their pricing.Would definitely return to try more of their menu items.

Banana Leaf in Kitsilano
My family is Sinaporean and we LOVE Banana Leaf. The waiters are so welcoming. Their Dine Out has 7 to 11 courses which is insane. Their laksa is my favorite and quite authentic for a Sinaporean laksa. Out of all the locations for Banana Leaf this one is my favorite too!
