Found ourselves in Napanee and discovered this gem. The food and service were fantastic. Definitely, going back.

Upon our arrival at Fool's Kitchen, we were met with warm enthusiasm and promptly guided to our table. The establishment, though small, boasts an inviting ambiance with tasteful decor, making it an ideal location for a date night. The menu provides a small array of Asian dishes from Korea, Vietnam, China, and Thailand, subtly complemented with Western touches.Fool's Kitchen truly excels in its approach to cuisine. Nestled in Napanee, this cozy restaurant demonstrates a high attention to detail and successful execution of Asian culinary traditions. The chef's understanding of Asian cuisine shines through in each dish, which is both stylishly plated and rich in flavor.My partner and I enjoyed a variety of dishes, each delivering a unique and exceptional experience. A complimentary dish of chicken wings (a limited time special) was served, and it was outstanding - the wings were perfectly cooked, dressed in a tangy sauce, and garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.The ribs were a delight, succulent and falling off the bone, bursting with rich flavors. The side of potato chips was exceptionally crispy, well-seasoned, and served with a savory dipping sauce.Their rendition of Vietnamese pork vermicelli outshines others I've tasted, featuring an great balance of crispy spring roll, grilled pork, springy vermicelli, crunchy vegetables, and a tasty fish sauce. However, the spring roll filling could benefit from a touch more seasoning.Though I could continue to rave about the other dishes (the chef butchers his own meat, and they even make their own chili sauce!), it suffices to say that Fool's Kitchen comes with my highest recommendation. Given its apparent popularity, I would advise making a reservation. Their success is clearly justified, as they are delivering an amazing dining experience in all aspects.

If you haven't eaten here yet, you are missing out ! This place is a hidden gem, and an amazing experience! Went for the first time yesterday, visiting my family in kingston and after hearing nothing but amazing things about this restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming, intimate, and beautiful. The food is fresh, hot and you can tell it is made with love! We split dim sum as our apps, with a fresh pot of jasmine tea. Mango chicken for my main, and my parents enjoyed the vermicelli bowl. Huge portions, fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. The owners are friendly and came out to ask us how everything was. Absolutely amazing service! Highly recommend this restaurant ! I will be back when I visit again later this summer.

Our party started with a Mango Salad. Very nice and refreshing and has a bit of a kick. Delicious! We then had our main dishes. Everything was very good, artfully presented and served with a smile. I can't endorse Fools Kitchen enough. Top notch service, amazing cuisine with a constantly evolving menu and an overall wonderful dining experience. Can't be beat!

We ate very well tonight.. Fools kitchen Napanee is changing their menu tomorrow so we wanted to ensure we gave their current menu the sendoff it deserved. Everything was spectacular including the service.Loved the laid back feel with the passion for food. Three of us went there for lunch. I ordered a dish of chicken and chow mein noodles, and my friends both ordered a rice vermicelli chicken dish.My dish was meh. It looks very impressive in the bowl, but lacked vegetables and I did not care for the flavour of the chicken.My friends were surprised that their noodles were served cold, as the dish that they ordered is typically served with warm noodles, but they felt they had plenty of vegetables.We all agreed that the staff were attentive, and the decor was pleasing, however, we have enjoyed similar dishes at other restaurants in Kingston for far less.The appetizer of yam chips was tasty and I would enjoy that again. Sadly, I don't think I can say that about the other dishes.It is my understanding that their menu changes every 3 months. I might try again then.

I had the Vietnamese coffee, sticky rice in lotus leaf and chicken katsu.Every dish was cooked to perfection, presented well and the mains were in filling portions. Flavours were light and subtle,The Vietnamese coffee is strong pour over coffee steeped right into your glass at the table. Would recommend having it iced, or as a dessert coffee as it's pretty sweet. It's great and I would definitely get it again!The sticky rice was soft and tender, wrapped around some pieces of meat, which is in turn wrapped with lotus leaf and steamed in a bamboo basket. This was a fun, unique dish and the rice had taken on the subtle essence of the leaves it was steamed in. I would probably try the dumplings next time though.The chicken was impressively tender and moist inside, with just the right amount of crispy and flaky breading, and bed of noodles perfectly al dente. The black pepper sauce was very nice, though a little sweeter than expected, and a bit one-note. I would have liked a small side of mango salad to go with it like the lemongrass tiger shrimp dish has to help balance out the meal.The service was top notch! Very attentive, friendly and helpful.The menu is set to change in a couple of weeks, so I'm interested to see where they take it next!The ginger chicken rice is the other meal pictured.

This place is breath taking, the atmosphere is cool, the staff are very friendly and the food was to perfection! Hubby and I drove from Toronto all the way to Nappanee (2.3 hours) because our first experience here was unforgettable. We will be back!!
