Very stylish and chic. Gorgeous antique furnishings. Wonderful staff. Super comfortable beds. Decorated for Christmas amazingly. Quiet salon for chess, chatting and drinking complimentary tea, coffee, hot apple cider by the huge tree.

Beautiful inn, with lots of old decor, and chilled out atmosphere. The reception staff were all exceptional, and they were helpful with every request. They let us keep our rental parked on our last day after check-out while we walked around Halifax before our flight.Breakfast in the basement was good! The rooms could use a touch of minimalism to make them more comfortable, and the air conditioning units could use an update.Aside from that, we would stay here again, and recommend that you check it out!

Very regal but cozy. Rooms were comfy and we'll appointed...but the great thing is the entire building oozes history. The folks running the Inn were polite, helpful and knowledgeable. It is supposed to be haunted and you get the feeling the eyes in the paintings are following you. Great place, great location, good parking and a very reasonable price.

This was not the hotel I picked for my trip to Halifax but my husband talked me into it and I'm so glad he did!! The staff have all been amazing and the place is absolutely beautiful. My room is small but cozy and has everything I need. The bed is almost comfier than my own. The attention to detail is spectacular, the furniture and decorations are so beautiful, you really feel like you've stepped back in time. And the water pressure in the showers is actually really good. Normally I have a horrible time with hotel showers and, because of the age of the building, I was expecting it to be just as bad if not worse than normal but it was on par with my shower at home. Small thing but it makes a huge difference.I will definitely be back.

Rooms were really nice. Breakfast was included was a simple breakfast. Hardboiled eggs, hash browns, fruit, bagels coffee and juices. They were really nice and helpful. The hotel was rustic and was very nicely decorated. Would stay again.

Great location. Rooms are not big but very comfortable and clean. Property has so much characteristics. I also especially liked the snack table with tea/ coffee always available. Walls may be a little thin due to property being historic but the clientele isn’t of partying nature so it was not a problem. Unfortunately property has no elevator so it’ll be hard for those that have trouble carrying their luggage upstairs?

It was a charming historical house. The bed was comfortable but the room may feel small for people who are used to a big hotel chain. I love the architectural details in the house. Breakfast was great. It is walking distance to Halifax waterfront. Be prepared to walk up and down hills. Lovely stay. Also, free parking.

The Waverley Hotel definitely has a lot of character and charm. Decor is decidedly Victorian, which means that it is by no means modern but we enjoyed our stay nevertheless. Despite being on the smaller side, our room had cute little touches and was very comfortable. Similarly, the hallways are decorated with interesting relics and antiques. The location is great...everything we wanted to see and do was only a ten or fifteen minute walk away, and the waterfront boardwalk is even closer. The complementary self-serve buffet breakfast is served in the dining room on the lower floor, with a mostly continental offering plus a few hot items like ham, beans, and hash browns. The on-site parking is extremely convenient. We only stayed one night but would have booked a longer stay if possible.

This was a BEAUTIFUL hotel. Our room decor was so nice and we had two stained glass windows. The furniture was gorgeous. The lobby and outer area was astounding.Right in the downtown area. Just a short walk away from the boardwalk, farmers market and TONS of restaurants. Our room was right beside the reception but was soundproof. We're didn't hear a sound of people coming or going. The little complimentary breakfast downstairs was great. The staff were busy bees making sure all the food was topped up and dishes were being taken away. Two complaints... Our third window right next to the bed. It was right near a couple parking spots in the back. We opened the window for air but had to shut it because of cars and foot traffic. Didn't feel safe leaving it open. We also had to use a stick to prop it open and it was difficult to lift open. Whatever you do don't let it drop on your fingers, little dangerous. The bed was a bit firm and little lumpy. For me though the breakfast and overall look and feel of the place made up for it.
