Terrible service! Wrote an email on Sept 1 enquiring about traveling on a PR, didn't hear back. Went to CR embassy in Oct, was told it takes 4-6 months for a visa, and all documents need to be sent in Spanish. Do they not read English in CR???? Wanted to visit in December, will cancel our plans. Very disappointed.

Estoy decepcionado con el servicio de todo los consulados Ticos" en Canada año sobre año tengo problemas con la comunicación. Osea no existe comunicación con la embajada. Si uno necesita algo. La única opción es entrar ala oficina. Como ya no existe consulados in Toronto y Montreal. Ni eso se puede hacer. ¿Para que existe está oficina? si no contestan las llamadas ni email?I am extremely disappointed with the service of all of the Costa Rican consulates and especially the embassy in Canada. Year after year I've required services from a consulate or embassy. And due to their lack of willingness to actually do their job I have had to personally fly into Costa Rica (twice during COVID). He llamado 10 veces y enviado 4 correos Y no contestan por ningún lado. Vivo en Toronto y me rehuso a tener que ir a Ottawa para que me atiendan. Como no pueden contestar una llamada? Que pasa si es una emergencia?!

Lorsqu’on appel personne répond, ça fait 2 ans que j’attend une réponse pour avoir un passeport et ça fait deux mois que j’appel et il n’y jamais une réponse en e-mail aussi

Very friendly, feel like home

Very poor service in the middle of a pandemic no alternative solutions, just to travel to Toronto if you are a tico in Alberta you are basically ALONE very sad.
