Dr Arif undoubtedly a leading physician in the community, telling from my own experience as he is my family physician for more than 12 years ! Very sincere and caring doctor ! My all family members are attached to him .

There are two aspects to this review:1. The Clear Disrespect and Inefficiency of the Clinic Staff- They do not pick up the phone. As of Jan., 31st 2023, if you ring the number mentioned on google, they will not take the call. I suspect the staff actually hang up while it's ringing.- This clinic cannot be relied upon. On the rare occasion that they do indeed take an appointment, chances are they'll make you wait at least two hours before the doctor will see you. They do this so they can claim more money from Health Ontario.2. The Doctor's Unreliability, Unprofessionalism and Subpar Service- On the rare occasion that he does take a patient out of the seemingly mandatory waiting, he can barely give five minutes. Once placed in a small room, the patient must wait--again--as the doctor walks into a different room, assists a different patient or simply walks around for another fifteen to twenty minutes.- He does not provide any treatment. He simply refers the patient to a different doctor. Trust me, I've had this guy as a family practitioner since 2011, and he does not do anything. He will joke with a patient about symptoms before writing it all off as a referral to another doctor to waste the patient's time.

Welcome to Little Bengladesh!I wish I could give a better review. Really. Because Dr. Arif and Dr. Begum are good doctors.I've known Dr. Arif since before he opened his own practice. He used to work down the road at Warden Family Practice. I followed him when he became independent. This place used to be way better. But things started to go down the hill since the staff became almost all Bengladeshi. Partly because of a seemingly preferential treatment of Bengladeshi patients by the staff. When you have an appointment to see Dr. Begum, you spend a maximum of 30 mns. When you walk in to see her, yous spend a maximum of 1 hr. Thumbs-up !But it is another story when it comes to seeing Dr. Arif. For appointments, be prepared to spend 3-4 hrs. For a walk-in, be prepared to spend 4-5 hrs. Yes, you read it right. Half of your day can be spent there waiting to see Dr. Arif.I spoke to him multiple times about time management. But to no avail. The first reason for that is coming in late. Dr. Arif has never come in on time. You are there at 8:50 am waiting for the doors to open. But he will come in around 9:30 am.The second reason is his inability to say NO. His folks would wait in the hall and approach him when he comes out of one of the rooms. Instead of asking them to wait for their turn, he would take his time to listen to them and even take care of their issues while others are waiting for their turn. The third reason is the inability of the staff to limit the number of appointments and walk-ins. You're good as long as you come in before 5 pm.I am writing this review from his practice. It is 12:30 pm and I have been here as a walk-in since 10 am. Some would wonder why. Because there is no difference with Dr. Arif whether you have an appointment or not. If only he would accept some help and get a better staff or the current one trained to be professional and... courteous. Yes, the also lacks from the current staff. That said, Dr. Arif is a good doctor. I wish I could give a better review.By the way, the chairs in the waiting room need to be replaced.

The doctor and staff here are the most ridiculous people I have ever experienced. How Dr.Begum is a doctor is beyond believe. I don't think she can even read. Let alone give a diagnosis

Both doctors are really good. I always got good experience with Dr. Arif and Dr. Begum. But I don't like their management service. Those front desk people are very slow to pick up phone call, they don't show up at right time, they don't manage the numbering system...doctor's assistants are slow too....I don't understand why they are not just upgrading the management. Front area really needs some development.

I was at this place to do 2 step tb test for beginning of new job. It is a nice place to visit, well planned service but you need to book an appointment before visiting.Reception: Staff at reception is professional but most of the time they don’t know how long you have to wait. Try to make sure about the waiting time if you are new. Do not hesitate to ask otherwise it’s horrible to wait.Doctor: I had visit with Dr. Arif, he is awesome and professional. He knows what he is doing.Doctor assistant is nice too.As a cash patient I have to pay $65 first time then $40 each visit. I didn’t have health card (only international passport). I hope it helps. Thanks.

Very depressing place. Receptionists are not friendly at all, it's crowded and the place is dirty and old. The doctor was helpful and nice but I wouldn't recommend this place.

Getting to talk to somebody on the phone can be a pain however in their defence it is usually super busy in there.I see Dr. Arif and he is a decent doctor but I don’t like when they put you in the room and you’re sitting there for 20 minutes. That being said I will be going back there. It is a small price to pay for being able to see a doctor.I had to go there for a prescription I forgot to get I was the first one there at 9am and within 20 minutes I was in the doctors office. It is kind of a crapshoot if you don’t come first thing in the morning because it fills up fast but Dr. Arif is a great doctor. He prescribed a medication that is really hard to get at of my age which is 36. He had no problems and I can’t thank him enough.I’ve heard complications from two surgeries in early 2022 and he is taking care of my pain considerably. No questions asked. I will be going back but first thing in the morning to try and be the first patient.Sometimes you just have to wait, it is what it is. If you don’t like it go somewhere else, it is not like this is the only clinic in Scarborough.
