Glad this is my local shop. Always fun to go in and chat about the hobby. They have lots of stuff to go through and they have really good prices.

Amazing local hobby shop! Definitely the best I've visited plus their story about their journey of starting this shop just shows their perseverance, willingness and passion for the hobby. From their exceptional customer service, to great pricing, even the set up of the shop has a great aesthetic. There's a sense of community and belonging with this shop. The owners are a husband and wife (Rick & Janice) both of which are always happy to help and answer questions or simply just talk about the hobby. They also host a trade night which is a lot of fun too! I'm glad I found this place. I will continue to visit and purchase from here. Whether you are new to collecting or have been collecting for years, theres something for everyone offered at Cardboard Devil. Keep up the great work and look forward to visiting again soon!

Stopped in as I had some time to kill. Very glad I did. Very cool concept, with their focus on community and giving back.Unfortunately they had a break in that week and had a number of high end cards stolen.I'll make sure to come back and support this amazing small business and owners.

Yesterday was the first time I went to the store. I chose to go here based on reviews that made it clear Rick and Janice have a passion for what they do. I am new to collecting and the two could not have been more helpful. I’m sure most of my questions were pretty basic, but they treated me like I was a life time collector. This is a great store and these two are great people. I’m excited to go visit again, and again and again!

The Cardboard DevilA Review by Hassan Hawash“Word of mouth can be the best advertising, or it can be the worst”, the owner of the Cardboard declared, which I assume came from a perspective of lived experience. In our case, we came to know of this mostly sports card buy and sell business from an acquaintance within the Cambridge minor hockey community. Finally, with a free stretch of time, my son and I made our way over on a lazy Saturday afternoon following my son’s hockey game. The lil fella was full of all sorts of anticipation after having heard of the possible finds. On arrival, I had the lil guy go on in and have a look see at his own pace and meander. It was hardly five minutes before he was back to see me at the car absolutely beaming in jubilation. “Dad, look I got this box set of cards for free”, he exclaimed. My interest was certainly piqued as I was then very curiously listened very attentively. That said, I got my motivation to go in and find out how could it be that Joud got a box set not having to reach for his debt card.Upon walking into this trade shop, I got the impression I was walking into a man cave. The walls are adorned with all sorts of sports memorabilia. The owner was engaged with a customer in a deal for some baseball card running into the hundreds of dollars giving my son further ideas that these cards could be an investment in time and money. After a little sit-down taking stock of all the cards this latest haul brought in, my son was ready to spend. We both made our way to the front from the sitting area at which point I told the card shop owner just how happy he had made my son. In response, like a true businessman endowed with good personal relationship skills, the gentleman declared my ten-year-old is an example of a customer of the future, the kind of customer you want to attract. With that said, my son found himself on the receiving end of another box set for the bargain basement cost of ten dollars which included 7 packs with 8 cards in each pack. My son once again had a beaming smile. I could pretty well anticipate him telling me he would want to come back.During the course of our stay, we really got a size of the man, our host, so to speak. He really turned out to be the milkman of human kindness, in the words of Billy Bragg. Compassionate, sympathetic. Case in point, a woman in distress burst through the door sobbing due to getting locked out of her car. Without any hesitation, our host dipped into his cash reserve whipped out a fifty spot and the damsel in distress had hope for a solution to her problem. Before leaving, my son was able to add a binder to store his cards to go along with his great experience. To say the least, the visit to the Cardboard Devil was worth the outing in terms of my son’s haul, his consequent happiness and for the opportunity in meeting a businessperson that makes you feel good about yourself for the deal you struck. We will be back.
