I have had a really, really great experience here.I was looking for a specific artist as a gift to my partner, and while browsing online I saw that Something Else Records had of their records. Without hesitating, I ordered the record for delivery.Whoever was shipping the order out ended up being sick and so the order was delayed. I really enjoyed and appreciated the email from them explaining what had happened. They also gave me a time frame of when my item would be shipped out to me. Truth be told - the order was not any kind of rush. But I think that their level of service and concern for those ordering something was really great.Once my item was shipped, it arrived 2 days later. It was very fast. My record was packaged nicely with care so that it wouldn’t become damaged in shipping.I would definitely recommend ordering and if I am ever in the area I will definitely stop in the store and look around.

I'm not one to go out of my way and write out Google reviews, but this place is absolute must visit in Kingston for record collectors. I can't say there has ever been a time where I have shopped here and haven't found a super cool gem for a friend or myself, and they're always at super fair prices. I wish this store and whoever sells records to it was closer to home so I could visit more often. They also ship records with great care and well packaged. Genuinely my favourite place to shop for records, physically and digitally.

Was immediately struck by how cozy the shop felt. Spent a fair amount of time digging through the vinyl. Excellent selection and they do a great job of curating only the best. The added books are also a nice touch. Grabbed an album I've been looking for for awhile at a reasonable price and a book that came highly recommended.These guys are great, would recommend.

You know what is truly great about this store outside of the great prices and great condition of the records? When you bring in used records for sale, they don't make you feel like they are doing you a favor for buying them. They are happy to buy them! At other record stores, it almost feels like you are committing a crime before they throw a couple bucks at you for the sale.

This place deserves way way more than 5 stars.I've gotten more than half of my record collection here, a real gem in this city.The people who work here are really nice and very helpful at the checkout.As I said, I've found some good stuff here. Like my son, he got his favorite Gordon Lightfoot record here.Thank you something else!

Fantastic new record & book shop in the core of the city! Amazing selection and excellent taste in albums/genres/artists. Brings the out of town shopping and ordering right back home to proper bricks and mortar and supporting a fantastic young family. Excellent customer service and certainly a great knowledge on artists/titles etc.. Looking forward to my next visit! Nothing but fun on every previous visit. Great new business and a welcome addition to the city!
