Burntwood Lake Lodge

We had a fantastic time at Burntwood Lake Lodge. There are no roads in or out and this is the only fishing lodge on Burntwood Lake. The lodge staff were highly attentive and knowledgeable about the region. The fishing guides easily navigated the lake, weather, and lots of large fish. I wholeheartedly endorse this business.

WOW and AWE!!Burntwood Lake Lodge is beautiful and inviting. It can be relaxing, peaceful, quiet or exciting...you choose. From the time you arrive in Snowlake to the time you leave everything is taken care of for you. Shandra, Larry, Jackie and Brad treat you like family. Colinda 's cooking is out of this world...you will gain weight! Anthony makes sure everything runs smooth ..you will have zero worries.This was our first time on an adventure like this and we are going back next year!Tony and Melissa

A group of 13 friends went on a 3 day, 4 night, fishing trip to beautiful Burntwood Lake Lodge at the end June 2022. My husband and I got to fly to the Lodge in a Beaver aircraft and back to Snow Lake in a chopper. We fished, we ate, we partied, played cards, listened to some great entertainment...it was truly a wonderful experience for us all! Thank you to the owners and staff for their expertise and hospitality during our stay!!

I almost hate to write a review for Burntwood Lake Lodge, because we would like to keep this gem all to ourselves. However, if there ever was a Lodge that deserved praise, this is the one. We were treated like royalty and family at the same time. The service was top-notch by owners and staff alike. The only boats on the lake are other guests staying at the lodge. We caught fish, enjoyed the beauty of our surroundings, and ate far more than normal. Thank you for a wonderful fishing adventure!

The hunt from hell. My husband and I went to Burntwood Lake Lodge for a moose and bear hunt for our honeymoon. The main lodge was nice with good food and friendly staff. But the good ended there. During the hunt, my guide rarely made moose calls and did no tracking. Each time we would stop the boat, he would always take multiple smoke breaks to the point other hunters commented on it to me when we would run into them on the lake. It was during that time that he would occasionally do a moose call; however, it was few and far between. Additionally, he also spent a surprising amount of time dismantling a beaver dam (which was way too large to actually take apart) for unknown reasons. Further, there were a couple of spots we returned to daily and, it was only at the end of the week, that he got out of the boat and concluded there's too much deadfall and the forest is too dense

We have stayed at Burntwood Lake Lodge for the last two years and are planning a return visit next July.When we got off the plane, the staff greeted us, took our gear to our cottage and showed us the lodge.The lodge itself was very unique and spacious.The meals were wonderful, especially the deserts. We had fish fries either at the resort or for shore lunch.There was always a coffee pot and snacks available.We had our own boat which was a good size with a reliable motor. The staff cleaned and refueled the boat every night for us.The highlight of the trip for us was the fishing. Especially the walleye fishing which was one of the reasons we chose this lodge. And we caught a LOT of good sized walleyes.You don't have to go far to catch walleyes at Burntwood.Sometimes we would fish the bays for Northerns for a change of pace. We caught lots of different sizes and there are some very big ones out there.We were also able to fish after supper until nightfall which was great.The staff was wonderful and bent over backwards to take care of all our needs.We highly recommend staying at Burntwood Lake Lodge.Betty and Roy Miller

Excellent out camps, have fished the Dow out camp for the last several years. The Pike and Walleye fishing has been superb. The camp and amenities have all worked well. Outfitter has been spot on from answering emails and calls to delivering us and our gear to camp on time every time. Highly recommend the Burntwood Lake Lodge for all your Northern Manitoba adventures.

Would give 6 stars if we could. Just returned from an unforgettable family vacation. This family-owned and operated resort has the best people, a gorgeous treasure of a lake, and plenty of fish to catch. We caught and released countless walleye, several pike over 30 inches, and ate a great walleye shore lunch each day. Caught a few very large perch as well. The guides know where to find the fish and ensure a fun day for all experience levels. Great food and comfortable beds. Already looking forward to going back soon.

Everyone catches fish at Burntwood! We have been bringing the kids here for six years and Brad, Jackie, and the team have created incredible lasting memories. The fishing is incredible, the food/accommodations, and staff wonderful, and the nature pristine. Year after year the kids look forward to flying in helicopters and float planes, cooking and eating shore lunches, driving boats, making new friends, and catching fish, fish, and more fish! There is no better place for a family vacation!
