Davis Brook Retreat B&B

Hosts Bob and Rosette were quite hospitable and made our stay pleasant with enjoyable conversation.. Getting to their place with Google Maps(navigation) and Google Streetview (to quickly see the house) indicated their street-side neighbour (has gated driveway with sign Beware of Dog"). The B&B's house is the next driveway and is off the roadside

It started with 3 friends deciding we needed a ‘wellness’ getaway. We had wanted a place where we could be immersed in nature, with lots of available outside activities, and had the great luck in discovering Davis Brook Retreat.The accommodations were spotlessly clean and comfortable, the setting tranquil, and we particularly enjoyed the views from the Deluxe Inlet-View Suite, along with the outside balcony. We appreciated being able to use the kitchen to prepare our own supper, and also found the provided continental breakfast creative and delicious.Our host Lili was very helpful, giving us insider tips on the surrounding area. Communication was quick, instructions were clear.Our favourite part, however, was the outdoor activities. First, the fabulous yoga on the beach with Lili, easily tailored to guests with differing abilities. And the following morning, we went for a walk just across the road in Hidden Grove, with amazing well-marked trails through tall forest trees. Beautiful!!!

My fiance and I stayed here for a night as we were travelling around the Sunshine Coast. Bob & Rosette have an incredible home and were lovely, welcoming & very accommodating hosts. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Sechelt!

We had a wonderful one night stay at the Davis Brook Retreat. It’s a beautiful location with a super comfy bed, a pool/hot tub in the backyard, and tasty breakfast. We will definitely plan to stay again in the future! Thank you Lili and Rio!

The new owners Lili and Rio have really gone out of their way to give guests at this beautiful retreat their absolute all! No attention to details are spared in the most clean and tidy traditional bed and breakfast I’ve ever stayed at. Private bathrooms in all the suites is such a bonus. They work hard at providing a pristine and sparkling pool and hot tub which we so enjoyed! The food was delicious and I’m looking forward to my return in the near future! Such a great value for top notch 5 star hospitality!

A quite beautiful and clean place has been made by a very nice couple as a quiet B&B where nearby Tillicum Bay along the forest. I usually sat down in a comfortable chair silently on the roomy balcony of the second floor to enjoy the natural surroundings and the wildlife, then merged myself into the nature to touch the beauty and the stillness created by God with the soul.Thank you very much, Lili and Rio !

Amazing experience. My partner and I came to escape the city and have a peaceful weekend. The new owner Lilly gave us a 10/10 experience. Great food in the morning, comfy bed, with pool and hot tub to relax in the evening. Will definitely come back next year. Thanks for the stay!

I had reserved two places on the Sunshine Coast and the glowing reviews I got from this B&B are what tipped my decision. So glad that my husband and I stayed here. The owners have so much to share about their countries, cultures, and work, and they love hearing about their guests. We spent the whole part of an evening just sitting in the living room, talking, drinking wine, and sharing our hearts with each other. If not for our hosts’ work the next day, we would have talked more. We walked away from their home knowing that we made lifelong friends. We even returned a few days later just to visit and talk again, because we felt like we were visiting dear friends.The home was clean, had such personal warmth and charm, and our hosts made it perfect by being as welcoming and personal as they could be. We could tell that they just loved hosting and meeting new people. Our hosts aren't intrusive; their hearts are open to connecting if you let them.The open space and the large windows let nature in. Some people might be freaked out by that, but the city girl in me loved seeing the trees and sky.Our bedroom had an awesome deep tub, which is just what we needed after a stressful day of travelling. We loved the abundance of towels, hand towels, and face towels.The B&B is about 15 minutes drive from downtown Sechelt, and 20 from Gibsons, so if you want solace and quiet, or need to get away, this is the place. Rosette prepares breakfast for the guests before she goes to work, and Bob stays to chat and make sure things are alright. Bring a book or music to listen to, and you can hang out in their living room with the huge ceiling-to-floor windows or sit out in the deck. My husband and I didn’t mind the drive, since we’re not the party and shop till you drop kind of people.Hidden Grove recreational trail is about a 10-15 minute walk from the B&B. If you want to do more touristy stuff, you’ll have to drive to Sechelt or Gibsons.We will be back and bring our families here!

It's always a joy to return to Davis Brook. Clean, comfortable, warm and relaxing, all our visits there have been wonderful. Rosette and Bob are genuinely welcoming and we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else on the sunshine coast. Highly recommended.
