I have bought tea from many places and this is by far the best! Their tea seams fresher and more flavorful. The staff are extremely knowledgeable which is not something you find at most tea stores and they are more than willing to help with your selection.

My friend and I, whom have a substantial background in high end coffee, found this little place randomly while visiting Calgary and walking around the neighborhood. This place is a gem, and amazing to see in the world of super blended and flavoured teas like Davids Tea. No hating on anyone who likes that kind of thing, but it is so awesome to see a place that leans on the complex and beautiful flavours present in tea itself. Super helpful staff and eclectic,, pretty tea gear. Such a pleasant surprise to find!

So glad I accidentally stumbled upon this hidden gem! The aroma that fills yours nostrils as you walk up the flight of stairs is only a teaser of whats to come when you enter The Tea Trader. From all the wonderful tea pots, tea tins, tea accessories - I was like a kid in a candy store!I was really impressed by the many different types of teas they carry from China, Kenya, Neapl, etc. I also loved the wooden crate boxes used as decor. The owner is such a nice man and helped me picked out some delicious and unique teas.As I don't live in town- I was so happy to find out they ship!!

Amazing tea shop! I've stopped in occasionally during the years, but in March 2020 when I started working from home (goodbye free work tea) I began ordering a lot more to drink during my workday. They have some of the best teas I've ever had, and they've done a phenomenal job of filling orders for curbside pickup during covid. I absolutely recommend this shop to anyone who enjoys good quality tea (and supporting local shops!)I just wish they carried more varied tins! The ones they have now are so cute but I'd love more selection and more sizes.

Had the best experience in this store, went in for some green tea and the wonderful lady helping me was so knowledgeable and helpful on the tea selections I ended up leaving with an amazing assortment of japanese teas I've never ever heard of as well as an absolutely stunning cast iron Japanese tea pot that is bringing the most amount of joy in my life. This experience was an incredibly important reminder to shop local, engage with the community and keep your dollars close to home. Thank you for reminding me that in store shopping can be an absolutely beautiful experience.

Absolute gem nestled in the Inglewood-Ramsay part of town. A wide variety of teas sourced from different parts of the globe. The staff's passion, knowledge, and maturity shine through as they answer questions about flavor profiles. The shopping experience was exemplary and the quality of the teas is brilliant!

I absolutely love this place! I always come here for my specialty teas. They're so full of flavour without added sugars and candied items like other tea places. Lots of complex flavours and traditional teas. Love the Market Spice, Mount Fuji, Maverick, Eight Bells, and can't wait to try the Admiral Grey I just ordered!Also love that they're not individually packaged like store bought. The knowledgeable staff I've encountered are always super friendly as well.
