Worst place to bring anyone with BPD there. The professionals are everything but professional. They didn’t help. Emergency doctors have shown nothing but apathy and well as the staff. If you want to see a psychiatrist there be ready to wait for over a year to get assigned one. And two years if you want to join a program.Waiting period is discouraging.

Excellent for emergency treatment, covid testing, vaccination and all forms of mental service. Also a great place to play frisbee and have a respectful enjoyment of the land. We are fortunate that the family that owns the land has not kowtowed to corrupt influences of real estate developers. There is some problematic behaviour that often happens here. Don't fly your drone here and keep your dog on a leash and away from the community gardens. Respect the rules of the area, you are a guest it is not public land. There are wooded areas that should be avoided in the evening. This is a mental health hospital and research institute which provides services to people with a range of phobias and conditions and they deserve privacy and consideration. We are fortunate the grounds are as accessible as they are but the nature of the institution must be respected.

This hospital, is a great place to the Montreal community. It is very big and the treatment patients get, is very good. Very big campus and beautiful location. Installation are always clean and the staff is very professional. Patients there get lots of support from the doctors and nurses. The campus is very important to the Montreal community. And is getting bigger with the new construction.Nice place.

My friend, in crisis, was dismissed by the ER doctor. My friend expressed her depression and suicidal thoughts, and the psychiatrist told her to find a hobby." He was no help and connected her with zero resources. What a disgrace. These people should be ashamed."

On Wednesday 22nd of December 2021, upon my enquiry to Douglas Hospital vaccination centre, I was told to come for my boost vaccination to Douglas Hall. The person on the telephone told me to come right away to get my boost, as there were not many people.I am a woman of 78 years old, with a broken leg, walking with a cane. After taking a bus and walking for 15 minutes to the Hall, I was refused, because this day boost was only for the staff. When I insisted, after explaining my situation, I was told that they have and exact amount of doses only - no exceptions. A real holiday spirit" and usual disorganization that seems to rule our health system."

its like its designed for patients to slip through the cracksThe staff in the emergency unit are really friendly, which is the only reason why im not rating 1 star,i understand that the mental health system is bogged up, and that these things take time, and that mistakes get made. BUT:1. due to a clerical error at intake, they couldnt give me my meds (that i brought myself) for 24 hours2. due to overcrowding i went to sleep hungry, and there were people sleeping in the hallway3. it took about 36 hours for me to see a doctor for all of 4 minutes. she didnt even mention making any medication adjustments, and reccommended that i go to a non-medical facility that doesn't handle medication changes even though i stressed the fact that i was a danger to myself, i had cut marks on my throat, and that i needed a medication update4. instead of referring me anywhere they had me call a list of crisis centres from a pamphlet. they literally had me call 811 (info santé) while i was already in the ERi definitely regret coming to this emergency room, and next time im on the brink im gonna go somewhere elsePS: there was a blood splatter on my bed framePPS: Cami is the best nurse ever :)
