Mavericks Water Polo & Swim Club

The Mavericks are great! As a part of the Mavericks for the past year I can say that this is the best encounter with a sport club ever. The coaches are awesome, motivating, encouraging, friendly and are super supportive. Being apart of this team has helped put me in the best physical condition I have ever been in and made me much stronger. The competition is fierce and the athletes even more inside the pool. Outside the pool we are friends first, competitors second. We always have each others backs and love playing for this amazing team. Thank you coaches for continuously pushing me in the right direction and helping me start a new sport I love and I can't wait to continue practising with the Mavericks and making more amazing memories. Best Waterpolo Club: the coaches and staff are encouraging young athletes to be the best they can.Coach Fedja knows how to work with kids, explains the drills and techniques well. He is strict but fair, well respected by players and parents.We registered our son 3 years ago when he just turned 9, watching him grow from a boy struggling to keep up in the game to a confident player, striving to be the best.We are glad we made the decision to join Mavericks.We are grateful for everything the coaches/club did and continue to do developing young athletes, not only in waterpolo skills but also building the character and instilling the values of good sportmanship.

Mavericks is an incredible club with an extremely welcoming and supportive atmosphere. The coaches truly care and push the athletes to achieve their highest potential. I continued to play waterpolo after graduating and came back 5 years later to play on the Senior team! Some of my best memories and formative moments were from playing with this club.

The Mavericks Water Polo Club is one of the best clubs for many reasons. As a former player of the club I was able to grow and develop in a healthy, fun and interactive environment. Many of my teammates became my friends and still are. My development not just physically but mentally helped me represent Team Canada on multiple national team. The club and many of my mentors have inspired me to continue my involvement in water polo and I'm proud to say I now get to be a mentor and role model to the many athletes at the club by being a coach.

We moved to the area two years ago and our son asked about switching from his regular Swimming Classes to Water Polo. We came to Mavericks and since then we feel that it was the absolutely right decision to make.Healthy and supportive environment in the club.Coaches truly care about raising in the club not only athletes and team players but also leaders and responsible citizens.Impressed.There will be moments of celebration and disappointment, tears of joy or frustration. Mavericks Coaches will find the right words of encouragement and constructive criticism, that not only help kids grow in the sport they love, but also in life.Our son has been learning through Water Polo at Mavericks to be a team player, be positive and always give his best effort, the least of which is perseverance.Thankful for this.

I have been with the club since 2010, it has been one of the greatest decisions of my life. The coaching staff is one of the greatest in the country and they are always willing to help with anything you need. The community the club provides is really great, the players are always friendly and welcoming and the club has great facility to practice and play in.

My son has been with Mavericks since he was 5. Two years in Like a fish program, two in U10 and two in U12. All these years Fedja was his coach and we had a great experience with him.My son enjoys practices and games. He learned a lot and has fun with his teammates.We are looking forward to the next season in U14 and hoping to get gold this time at Eastern Nationals.

Our son has never been more confident and in better physical shape since joining The Mavericks Waterpolo Organization. He loves going to practices and tournaments and enjoys the healthy competition. The coaches are very motivating and always strive to bring out the best in all their atheletes. They take the time to meet with parents and discuss the progress of the child. Nish and all the coaches have my gratitude and thanks for bringing together such a first class athletic organization to our community.

Our 2 kids joined the club in September. Both of them have a great time training and playing for The Mavericks. They have amazing coaches that are professional. They have made great connections with friends and team mates.

The club has been an extremely positive experience for our son, who joined at the age of 12 in 2014 after assessing other options in the GTA. The club offers an opportunity to train with world class coaches that give and expect commitment and discipline. The Mavericks approach has helped our son mature and develop self discipline. Being part of a club that consistently wins at the national level has boosted his confidence. Highly recommend the club to anybody who wants to train and play at a national level.
