A great piece of history. Thanks to the gentleman inside who walked us through some of the most interesting parts we learned so much. This is one of the oldest buildings in Halifax, and has some amazing ties to historical events. One of the original stained glass windows remains in the church — see if you can find it. The rest were blown out during the Halifax explosion. As you enter the church look up and you'll see a piece of steel that ended up embedded in the church wall. There are two grave markings that date back to the 1770s.This cathedral / church is unique in that it has a pew at the front that is dedicated to the royal family, should they come to visit.Lastly there's some photos at the back of the church as you enter and scans of a pamphlet for a service held for the victims of the titanic.Go check it out!

Old beautiful church built in 1750, was the first Anglican church outside of Great Britain. It was also used as a garrison for the army and navy. Majority of the wooden construction is original!

While I was in Halifax January 20-23 2023 I visited st Paul's, people greeted me at the door. I only stayed till after the offering was collected as I wasn't feeling well. I would highly recommend if you don't have a church come to St Paul's

Beautiful Historic Anglican church in the middle of downtown Halifax. The church is in Grand Parade, so if you're in the city it is impossible to miss.It is generally open to the public and does have informative tours that can further explain the church, or you're free to roam yourself. It is accessible and I would think anyone with mobility issue or aids would be able to access the church. There is an upstairs but it isnt open to the public.Ask about the ghost story!

Quiet, yet screaming with stories to be told. This quaint chapel still has evident scars from the Halifax Explosion of 1917.Worth the stop if you are in the downtown area.

A beautiful church with a lot of history. One of the stops of the Halifax Ghost Tour. Do you see it? During the day you do!

St Paul’s Anglican Church, Halifax
Oldest Anglican cathedral outside Britain. Beautiful But simple building built in the 1700s. Oldest surviving building on Halifax. Takes you back in time to a very early point in Canadian history. You don’t need to go in to appreciate the building. Just make a point to walk by, pause, and appreciate it.
