Outhouses were in terrible condition, and definitely hadn’t been cleaned out in some time. No one working at the store/office so we couldn’t get change for the dumping station (which is usually free most places). Supposedly there was fire ban, but saw at least 5 campsites that had full fires going. Never saw a camp host, or patrol once. Do better.

Perfect nature to road noise ratio, just wait till a truck is crossing the bridge and your wife will never hear you crack that beer you said you're almost finished

There are better campgrounds out there. Go to this one only if you are desperate and have a rv. Definitely not a campground if you plan on using tent. I second someone's review about falling branches here. Most of the pics on the reservation website can be misleading. The campground is quite small than what the pics show. The day use area is actually nice which is why I give this place a 2 star. Playground seems ok. Did not like restrooms. We were on loop A. B and c loops seem good.

We stayed in comfort camping (#1) over labour day weekend, 2022. The outhouse is very smelly from the outside, and in the morning it is all we could smell outside our tent. Weleft a day early because we did not want to put up with that a second time. There was a mystery odor inside the tent that came and went, and we could not find the source (maybe just wafted in from the outhouse). The outhouse directly behind the site is just too close, and smells from an excessive distance. I have not experienced an outhouse that smelled this bad at other provincial sites before. The bed frame in the tent was also broken. The bed sank down if you sat on the end of the bed. I have included a picture of that.

Good family campground. Close to the river; great fishing; great bird watching; nice park with play structures; potable water located in multiple places in every loop; walking paths close by; Sani-dump is $6 and has a line flush station. Downsides include - Firewood is very expensive so bring your own; only 1 Sani-dump line flush which creates long line ups to dump and drain; Loop A is in a low lying area with permanently standing water so bring insect repellant; raccoons are everywhere; should be upgraded to include some sites with 30 amp power hook ups.

So close to my house. Right along a beautiful river. The store is open sometimes and there is a dump station. Sites are far apart if you know where to go.No hookups in any sites and they have changed loop A as being the only reserved spots. Now it’s A and B. leaving C as the only first come first serve. Even if A and B are empty they will not allow you to camp. Seems odd to me seeing how that’s 100 sites with no revenue. I do recommend it though. Speargrass course is just up the hill and aspen crossing is ten minutes away for lunch at two great restaurants.

love this campground. close enough to the city, yet still far enough out to enjoy the outdoors. also has a cute general store that carries the most random yet convenient items, and the man who works there is super nice!

Well we are usually happy camping here, this time as there were 7 of us and needed 2 vehicles they charged us full rate of $130.00 we were told it was standard. We usually don’t mind paying an extra 10 a night for the extra vehicle but full rate ( like we rented a second site) very disappointed. Also they do not enforce the dog/pet rules lots of owners with dogs not secured in campsites or on leashes, when we mentioned this we were given a # to call if we see this again… we did… no one answered and no voice mail. Very disappointed ( we stayed from July 6-11)

Great campground with over 2/3 of the sites being first come (non-reservable) it is a great place for those who didn't get a chance to book a provincial camp site 90 days prior. It is a beautiful river valley and the campground is along the river. Nice bike/walking paths along the river. Those with big units/trailers please note that several of the camp sites in loop A are very tight for maneuvering but if that doesn't bother you the privacy is worth it. There is a camp store at the far, far end of the campground and another private store at the entrance to the park that also has ice cream and AMAZING bacon straight from a nearby farm. It does not shrink at all so the price of $9-10 for a package is very good value. We look forward to picking some up each time we go. The farm fresh eggs are $4.50 and also amazing. There were still a few open sites available on a mid-August weekend but if you plan to try for long weekends it is best you are there late afternoon on Thursday to get your spot. It is self check in at several kiosks throughout the campground. Bring cash or cheque book for that. No credit card payments available. There are campground hosts and staff that drive around so make sure you register.
