Hello, I'm a disabled veteran with daily mental and physical challenges.The first time I worked with SMARTWAY was during the major floods in Abbotsford and the interior of BC. I had left the kitchen sink hose on while at the rehabilitation gym. The sink full of dishes flooded the kitchen and living rooms.This was an insanely busy time for all restoration services. SMARTWAY showed up and over the next few months took care of all my flooring problems and much more.The employees were extremely hospitable, timely and proficient in their work and ethics. I know this because in my healthier days I trained hundreds of people from different walks of life in the military. The standards were extremely high.Recently I did the same thing- again. While at the gym the hose in the kitchen unbeknownst to me continued to leak into the sink of dishes creating yet another flood in the kitchen area.Horrified! I called directly to SMARTWAY and Lucas, and at 5pm on his Friday off and heading for the beach he expediantely came over and put out six large dryers and begun drying the place out over the next couple of weeks.Because of the owner Eric and his second in charge Lucas I escaped a bullet. I would have been crushed by depression, guilt and shame again by my absent-minded medically unfit ways.Smartway gave me back my smile. Smartway Renovation is the very best at every steps of the renovation process. My whole basement was flooded, Eric arrived the same day and co-ordinate everything. I am very satisfied with my experience with Smartway Restoration, particularly with the project manager Gerard and his team.

Had an emergency renovation done on our condo(pipe leak in the ceiling) they were quick to respond which was appreciated but they left our electrical box exposed and didn't get back to us for 2 months. After several calls that got us nowhere we had a different company finish their work(started the next week, finished the week after) and the only communication we have recieved was a bill for 2k.

Mike MacDonald is amazing. We called Mike for a second opinion regarding mold in our home after another company almost scared us into a very expensive remediation. Mike was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining sources of mold, he explained our lab results to us, and he let us know what we can do to improve air quality and heat efficiency (without needing a complete remediation). We're VERY happy with Smartway.

This company started a restoration project because of a failure in my rental January 2023. 2.5 months later it is still not done because they neglected to send the appropriate paper work and pictures to my insurance company until 1.5 months in (after a bunch of back and forth according to the adjuster) and now they have informed me they will not finish. I have a family in there with a 3 year old child with no insulation in the floors due to the type of failure and cardboard on the floors. They have no compassion. It is all about the money. I decided to get my friends to do the flooring and plumbing to keep it local but I still need the living area rebuilt and insulated which is what they are bailing on. Apparently, if I didnt have insurance and chose to get my guys to do the flooring and plumbing they would not have taken the job. I would never ever recommend them.

Excellent work and very professional. The attention to detail was excellent. They arrived when they said they would, completed the job in the time allotted, were tidy, professional and did great work. So happy with the results. Would and will use again.

My experience with Smartway Restoration was fantastic. Sara was a delight to work with. She was efficient and professional. The timeliness to attend to the situation was fast and there communications to all parties involved was consistent and great. I would highly recommend using this company.
