Way too expensive, pool hours make it so you can't use the pool on the last morning. Not great service. Would love to be able to bring our own fire wood and book a designated site without having to pay extra. Skipping it this year unfortunately, the river is amazing and my kids love it but it's not worth the high high cost.

A 1 star rating could’ve been avoided with better communication from management or ownership. We’ve loved our summers out at Dino for many years. At $100/night, you pay for the resort and all it has to offer. We were not told online at the booking stage that the pool could not be opened in time. While we understand the pools closure was beyond their control, their pricing is within their control for an incomplete experience.Campers understand and appreciate renovations of bathrooms and the pool, but should not be expected to pay full price while amenities are shut down, or at the very least should be made aware before they commit to that price point. Our tenting friend was told not to park on the grass upon arrival. Her site was unmarked and we guessed at its location. She did not have an option but to park on the grass - there was no parking spot otherwise. The security was condescending and uninformed. When asked a question about firewood he called campers “dude” disrespectfully and asked why they hadn’t stopped at the many gas stations on their way in for wood, where we were under the impression that outside wood was not allowed.I’m hoping these were growing pains and the the new owners support their management in improving the camper experience. $100/night!

Loved our time at Dinosaur Trail! Owner was super engaged and talking with people throughout the time we were there. Store was well stocked and tons for the kids to do, they would go on adventures around the park or check out the playgrounds. Pool was perfect for hot afternoons and close to a few attractions. If you have a trailer on the way out take it slow as the highway has a few big bumps when you're getting close to the park but the park itself was great! Will definitely be back.

We just had friends stay here over the long weekend. It seems that maybe the campground is under new management and while it was once a great place to stay, that is no longer true. The bathrooms needed to be attended to more often, they were not clean and out of toilet paper. The rates have been increased - not relative to inflation or the standard increase seen across the province. Not my own experience, but friends said that the owner was nearing the point of harassing them. Zooming around on the golf cart and yelling at patrons. In a customer service based industry the way that management conducts themselves reflects on the establishment. And unfortunately for neighbouring campers these interactions do not go unnoticed.I hope that some changes can be made following feedback and this can once again be a gem of a place to camp.

We stayed here for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our site was perfect, surrounded by big trees that provided some shade, with close proximity to the river and the Royal Tyrrell Museum. The staff were very helpful and friendly! The shower and washroom facilities extremely clean, and the pool was perfect for those really hot days! The evenings were quiet for a peaceful night’s sleep.

We had a great time in this campground. It was our first time here. If you can afford it, I'd say give it a try. We had a good experience here and we recommend it.It is a big campground but well maintained, clean and organized throughout. It was very hot when we were there as expected but was surprised by the wind so come prepared. We find management and staff was very friendly and pleasant. Lots of very nice and friendly campers as well. Shout out to the lovely lady at the office who attended to my niece's biking mishap. Thank you for your kindness. If you like trees, then pick the main and lower loops. The upper loops are mostly no trees with some highway noise (didn't bother us) but are smaller so less chaotic which I prefer. One wish though, I hope they would extend the pool hours.Overall, it was a relaxing and pleasant stay at Dinosaur Trail even with the stormy weather we had. We would definitely consider going again. Happy camping!

We had mixed emotions on arrival due to the many negative reviews both on here and on Facebook groups but we just left Dinosaur Trails RVResort and we enjoyed it. We checked in Tuesday and left this morning. We found everyone that worked there pleasant and happy. No one was rude to us or the people we came with. Although we were up at the upper levels not the Main part of the campground. My husband had 1 issue and that was when he took the kids to the pool and had his stainless steel water jug and they stopped him and just told him next time it needs to be in a clear container they were nice and polite about it. We saw the cart in our loop once checking the empty sites for garbage and whatnot and that’s it. The only other negative is the roads need to be repaved, there’s potholes everywhere. Overall we had a good time there and would probably go again.
