Ebbis Hall
I was a resident at Ebbis Halll. The management wasn’t interested in solving any of the problems brought up by the residents. Holes in windows were taped shut instead of being fixed, food theft was not addressed and the two break ins we’re not taken as seriously as they should have been. The local area was definitely not a safe place for students to be living in. Rooms were also smaller that’s advertised while still being very expensive.

I have lived at Ebbis Hall for the past year and I plan on doing so for the up coming school year this fall. The location is great and super convenient for my student life. Steps to Transit, Toronto Eaton Centre, Dundas Square, and my School Ryerson. All I know is Ebbis Hall nice clean safe please to live.

I have lived here for over three years, and I love it! I stay here throughout the summers here and it's pretty great. Management is really quick to fix any issues with the house right away! I love the location, I appreciate how quick they are to fix any issues and resolve any complaints I had about cleaning. I'm glad a found somewhere that is transparent with me about my lease, and that I never have to pay extra for anything. I had free internet, all inclusive electricity and water, extremely quiet, nice residents, and an entertaining view of the outside behind closed doors.

I live there over the summer last year and I absolutely loved it, I could walk to The Eaton Centre, and to Ryerson. I thought the building had a lot of Victorian charm with all the modern amenities. Compared to other student residences I have seen this place is head and shoulders above their competition. It is very difficult to find an all-women residence in Toronto. I was glad I found this residence. While the neighbourhood is not like my small town, I understand it is similar to most downtown Toronto neighbourhoods. Fully furnished rooms and kitchens was a plus and the daily cleaning was also great. The house is well positioned to allow me to get to school easily. I enjoyed meeting the different girls at the residence from different places and it was a great experience. Management did all in their power to secure the home and helped me when I needed it.I am going to stay this September for my final year of studies, my parents and I would recommend Ebbis Hall over and over again.

I just signed my lease for the third year in a row. I lived in an apartment alone in my first year of university, and decided to move to Ebbis for the MUCH lower housing prices. In my first year at the apartment, I had a plumbing issue and had to pay $400 out of my pocket. That's when I realized that I really had to move to a more affordable area. It's so nice to have other students with me, so I never feel alone in the city, especially since I'm not from Toronto. I recommend this house to any females who are looking for clean, affordable housing in a prime location near Ryerson, George Brown, and other schools. The management is very quick to fix any issues in the house, never at any extra charge. The price I pay monthly includes my room, CLEANING SERVICE, cable TV, all the utilities, internet, and all of the kitchen utensils I would need. I love that it's only all females in the house at all times. I feel so comfortable to do whatever I want, and that I don't have to deal with any of the maintenance issues. I have never had any negative issues with the neighbourhood since I've been at Ebbis, even when I walk home late at night from Ryerson Campus after class. It's also a huge bonus that the house is highly secured with cameras monitoring in all common areas, and outside the house. They are very clear with basic agreements with every tenant about maintaining clean environments, and that it's a female-only resident. I appreciate the transparency from the start. I recommend this house to anyone who is looking for affordable, clean, and all-female housing for students!

I lived in Ebbis hall last year for 8 months. The major reason why I chose the place was because I wasn’t able to have a viewing beforehand for any lease and the building didn’t require a viewing unlike most of private lease/sublease in the city. However, if I had a chance of viewing I would’ve chose a different option. First, the location is one of the most insecure areas of the city and we had 2 break-ins. First one was rather minor compared to the second one where people’s electronic devices (laptops and etc) and jewelries were stolen. Fortunately, no one was physically harmed since the floor was empty at the moment but ever since the security was the residents’ greatest concern. We asked the management for a better security and a result, most of the second and third floor windows were duck-taped. We couldn’t open many of them anyways because of the AC instalment. The management was unstable and for the time I was staying, we had to go through 3 different managers which was very inefficient for the actual space to be managed. Kitchen utensils were always lacking and the cleaning service was not the best either. The entire supplement was lacking for most of the times - there were times where all 3 floors were short on toilet papers. Personally, I’d never recommend the place for anyone to live, and the majority of the residents moves out after their first lease except very few exceptions.

The worst neighborhood to live it. Things get stolen and broken very frequently. The management does nothing for maintaining hygiene. But is very polite. All the bad reviews gets deleted. Also very overpriced and girls do bully each other. it is full of tantrums.

My daughter is going to U of T and lived in residence for her first, and she didn't like it very much. So my wife and I heard about this new all girls residence, and we booked a showing for our daughter to visit Ebbis Hall. We found Ebbis Hall to be wonderful, and more then we expected. My daughter has been living at Ebbis Hall for a year now. She's loving her time living at Ebbis Hall, and now 2 of her friends are moving in this fall.Over all nothing in life is prefect, but this place is pretty close.

I visited Ebbis Hall last year, my sister lived there and i thought it was beautiful. Three great kitchen's, open lounge area and i found it to be very clean. Her room was large with oversized Victorian windows, plenty of sunshine. I look forward to living at Ebbis Hall when I start university. Simply a great place.
