The food is good, staff is friendly. This place holds a special place in my heart as my grandpa (Bill Ballard) used to frequent this place for his coffee before he passed.

Drove thru Whitecourt and was ready for a late breakfast! Because I'm making an effort to avoid franchise / fast food I decided to stop at the Roadhouse as it's just off a service road. Waitress was incredibly pleasant, was able to answer my questions.The single eggs Benny is the perfect size along with the shredded hashbrowns and a coffee.Washrooms were clean, food was great, and overall very happy with my stop!

I don’t usually write google reviews but my experience here was so awful I had to. I would give negative stars for the service I received if I could.Worst service I have ever had. Did not ask us what we wanted to drink when we were seated either. Waited for the server to take our order politely for 20 minutes. I then stood up from my table and said excuse me to the waiter expecting her to come over and ask us what we needed. Instead she ignored me and walked away. 5 minutes later she was out again asking if this older couple was finished with their meal. I stood up again and said “could we have our order taken?” And she gave me an extremely dirty look. I was not impressed at all. I sat and waited for 35 minutes before I finally decided to walk out because I felt like I was not going to be served. It was not busy either.I have eaten there before and I had not had a problem. I believe it was the fault of the middle aged server with light brown hair. Do not recommend her.

The food here is fantastic. Honestly one of the best places in town. And I'm sure with a few more servers the service would be impeccable!

The waitress was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately she was the only good thing about the roadhouse.She was the only good thing at the Roadhouse. The food was mediocre. I had a cheeseburger and onion rings. Admittedly there were 5 other people at the table, but all simple orders. Sandwiches, chicken strips and mozzarella sticks. The food took around an hour to get out.The only reason I will go back is because the waitress was amazing.

Good food but the service is just too slow. The waitresses are nice but only having one of them covering both sides isn’t working. Twice I’ve been in the last couple months while passing through. Both times it took 20min before getting my order in and another 25min to get the food.

We came here for my Grand daughters birthday party and the service was horrible and food was just bad. I never thought fish and chips could taste like sawdust but it did. Everything was cold and just bad all around. Will.never return to this restaurant!
