I found iron age on internet through some random search. They are very professional, and pleasant to deal with. Most importantly, they got the job done on time and within my budget. Throughout the process from initial engagement, to consultation with project manager Amir, and finally to the day of installation, I always felt I was in good hands because of their responsiveness, competency and professionalism. I would refer them to anyone I know for metal work without any hesitation.

We were looking for some aluminum fencing quotes and sent in our info to Iron Age Manufacturing. We got a response back a week later after I called and asked if they had received our info regarding our request.Someone sent us an email with a quote a few days later (not even talking to us regarding the project). And the quote was for $19000 +.. When I called in regarding the quote to ask questions Reza Rad was very rude and basically told us that they don't do small petty jobs but big jobs for the British Properties and businesses . When I asked if he can come down to our place for an estimate he said no I don't come out for estimates or small jobs (in his email he said I can come down to estimate) So I called the company asking to speak to a manager and to complain about Reza Rad and the person who answered said I would get someone to call you back and no one has ever contacted us back!

It has been several years (2019) since we had our work done and I have left the review until now to see how durable etc. I worked with Raza and he was excellent. The iron tops on our brickwork is still amazing. Small bits of rust but nothing out of ordinary (we didn’t want to spend the $10k for rust protection) The custom handrails and barriers are all solid and strong. The repainting of old original front fence is standing up with exception of higher contact on original gate. To be expected. The weakest link in everything done is the 3 new gates. The one beside our garage has never been great. Wiggles because they only put in one screw. Plus you have to step on the bottom to get it to lock in. I have to say emphatically DO NOT BUY the soft close hinges they talked me into. Total garbage as they were super slow and stopped closing after 10 months. At the hundreds of dollars for each gate it’s a huge waste of money. I also wanted locks for outer and inner of each of my 3 gates. For security. The reality is they provide none. They are lever handle locks and are also garbage. Hundreds of dollars each that any hard piece of plastic could open. They are not the flat deadbolt kind and even though I had and extra metal plate installed to block any cards, from the top a screw driver and probably slim stick or coat hanger will open them. (As demonstrated by my contractor) One of the side gates doesn’t lock at all anymore as it barely got into the hole before and now after a couple of seasons it completely clears the hole. Bottom line is they are great at the iron part of the work but accessory stuff like hinges and locks are a complete disappointing failure. Nothing I have issues with have been addressed. Covid happened and when I recently made a call they said they won’t do anything NC that’s been an issue this long. I didn’t speak to Raza but I also know I will have to pay for it again I have no confidence in their ability for my issues. I’d suggest for gates to get regular hinges and have a professional locksmith do that part of the job.

Amin was great in designing and installing a set of stair railings at my house! I needed the stair rail to match my other railings and his ideas were a perfect match. I would have no hesitation in working with Iron Age again. I have also worked with Iron Age to help establish custom design concepts for other projects and they were a pleasure to work with and always professional. Andrew Creighton

I asked Ali for a design he then proceeded to tell me it’ll work out then the day he did the job he decided to change his mind. He lacks in communication with customers. His workers are great but Ali himself isn’t good with customers. When explaining customers needs espicially with a big amount of money has to be very precised. Very unsatisfied.

Iron Age did an excellent job of matching new handrailing to our Heritage Church building. (East Van - West Coast Christian Fellowship) They provided a fair price, a quality product and were easy and friendly to work with very much appreciated.

Came by to quote a job for a parking gate and was friendly, timely and seemed competent. Unfortunately his quote was more than 250% higher than the four other quotes we received so we didn't go with them for that reason.
