Sandy is easy to work with, and she does great work. She is upfront with you on everything, and she doesn't play any games. She charges very fairly, and backs her work up without question. I've had 2 tattoo's done by her, and we've already started talking about the 3rd!

I am beyond impressed with Sandy's work! My boyfriend has gone to her for his sleeve tattoos and more and I was always blown away with how fantastic they looked, so I decided to head to her for my most recent tattoo. The tattoo shop is unique, as it is located in a train station.There is a myriad of artwork, posters and collectibles on the walls giving the whole place a quirky, nostalgic vibe, while making me right at home. The atmosphere is tranquil, making it easy to relax during a painful tattoo. Sandy is great; super friendly and made sure I loved every aspect of my tattoo before we got started. I had emailed her a picture earlier to give her a general idea of what I wanted and she took it and ran with it, creating a breathtakingly beautiful design. She ensured that I was comfortable while she was tattooing me and I am definitely satisfied with the final result. I've seen more of her other work and she is just as fabulous and skilled at black/line tattoos as she is with color. I am certainly going to Sandy for future tattoos and would 100% recommend her to anyone.

On friends' recommendations, I got my first tattoo ever from Sandy, and I am absolutely in love with it to this day. Her insight and talent made the experience perfect, and she was great at guiding me through my first tattoo venture. Plus, nothing beats getting a tattoo in a shop decorated like a modern-day curiosity cabinet. Can't wait until I'm back in Illinois and can set up another appointment.

Sandy was amazing. It was my first tattoo and she talked me through the everything. She answered all of my questions and made the atmosphere as comfortable as possible so that I would be at ease. She did fantastic, beautiful work and I would go back again in a heartbeat!

So far I have a appointment set up, will update after, but will say the shop owner has great energy about himself, easy to talk to and has skills!Update: Joel is amazing and gave me exactly what I wanted and needed. I recommend highly. Personally I will be going back!

I just got my first tattoo here! Sandy Pope is an incredible artist and person- She walked me through the whole process and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. She's also funny as hell, which was definitely a plus!

Want a high quality absolutely fine line detailed tattoo done by an great tattoo artist - then book an appointment with Sandy Pope. Shop is GREAT with a great vibe, Music played is awesome - great music to relax to while she does her magic. But what makes Sandy a great tattoo artist is that she listens to what you are looking for and provides you the artwork that will blow you away. Her line work is out of this world.

I haven't even been here yet, but because Sandy has done my first two tattoos, I'm following her here, and I know I will have a GREAT experience here! In December, I am coming in with my best friend and we are getting tattoos together by Sandy. Sandy is such a great person to talk to/consult with. She'll try and make you happy, but also tell you straight up if she recommends not doing something, which I really like.Honestly, I can't wait to come in and see her again! Through email, she has told me great things about this shop and how she loves the people she works with. I can't wait to visit the shop!

I love, love, love Sandy Pope! I recently visited Hydra Electric Tattoo for a custom piece,,Sandy really outdid herself! My tattoo turned out absolutely amazing. I went in blind with no real idea what Sandy had planned and she really exceeded my expectations. The shop is super cute and very clean. Sandy was on time and ready to go when I arrived. She is great conversation and a total pro,,I will always use Sandy for my future projects. I can't say enough good things about my experience.

Sandy is the best! I already have 8 tattoos from her. She takes COVID protocols seriously so that her customers feel safe when entering the building. She does AMAZING work and is always fun to talk to! :)
