2nd time using this service. A charge was brought from the city of Vancouver against my aunt who hasn’t done anything wrong and could barely speak a word of English. It is a terrible feeling being broke and have no knowledge of the law. She was at the mercy of whatever charges that they brought against her. Luckily there is society like this that helps people like us to have a voice in the courtroom. Our lawyer was Lindsay Frame. Truly professional, well-trained and articulate. The crown was unreasonable at first but Lindsay helped us to negotiate a favourable outcome for my aunt. Definitely 5 stars.

Bad experience. Didn't hear back and still haven't received my files that they took to copy and return the next day... Apparently it's the postal services fault. Overall, polite but unfortunately useless.

I don't think they really want to hep people who are in need or they don't know how to support people efficiently. They just ask you to fill out the forms again and again, and finally you were told that you should have contacted another agency instead. ridiculous!

The law students are very helpful! It is clear that some other ungrateful clients don't recognize that students are very busy and have other obligations and timelines, and as I understand it, LSLAP is a volunteer program. Talk about ungrateful. The help I received was thorough, and the student assured me that all his work was reviewd with a supervising lawyer. I had a very good experience with this program, clearly others have unreasonably high expectations for a free, volunteer program for those who can't afford legal help.

I highly recommend LSLAP! They helped me a lot to resolve my conflict between previous employer and me. Espically Ms. Park was amazing. To resolve the issue, she became my representative, translator and laywer etc. The members of lslap are students but I think their passion for clients is same as or more than real lawyers’.

The telephone they use doesn't work. It fades in and out like a Radio phone. I made an apt. Nobody confirmed the address or apt. Nobody answers the phone? Is anybody running this program?

I was impressed by the attention to detail, and the professional manner of Steven Nguyen & Sabrina Chang. Consequently i had full confidence in their handling of my affairs. This legal advice was very helpful for me, and much appreciated.

Never picked up the phone, called on multiple different days during business hours and left a message but they never called me back. There's no way to book an appointment without calling sadly

Incompetent 'legal assistance'. The majority of the law students don't know what they are doing, costing time and money to the clients-Many of whom cannot afford the expensive blunders resulting in unnecessary re-filings ad nauseum. The clientele are treated as guinea pigs by UBC with no repercussions or remedies for the massive errors that the students commit. The supervising lawyers do not supervise well or often enough. Please learn from my mistake and do not use LSLAP unless you want a silly amount of hardship thrown your way. It is far better, if you are able to, to just represent yourself.
