We had a great week staying at this hotel. It's brand-new. The only thing that needs major improvement is the Wi-Fi... It's really bad! For the cost of the rooms, we really expect high-quality Wi-Fi.

The Tides Inn was absolutely lovely! The views are stunning and the hosts are wonderful and welcoming. They helped us check seeing a moose off our bucket list as one came right past our deck overlooking the marina! The room was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay there! I would say this one was on the best located places to stay in the rocky harbour/Norris point area!

We had a wonderful three day stay at the Tides Inn. The Inn is on the north side of the large fjord that runs through the park, so several trails will require some driving. But I would argue the little spot at Norris Point is one of the most beautiful places in the park and a good choice no matter where you are headed. We stayed in a king room with a view of the bay and a balcony. The room was outfitted nicely with a refrigerator and a microwave so we could keep our leftovers from the restaurants in the area. We also had dinner at the Tides Inn on Saturday night. Our appetizers were the roasted pear and beets salad and the mussels--both great. For entrees we ordered a full lobster and moose stuffed raviolis. Finally we had chocolate cheesecake and meringue nest desserts. All of the above were gourmet dishes, with great presentation.

A beautiful little motel in a small town. Rooms are very clean and spacious and the deck off the back offers a fantastic view of the harbour. The only issue we had was not the fault of the motel, but of the city. We woke up one morning to see that there was a big digger just outside of out window, and that our water had been turned off by the city. We called the hotel owner, and she was very distressed that this had happened, as no one from the city had warned her so that she could go get jugs of water for her guests.

Stayed 2 nights through a vacation package. We are absolutely in love with this place. The inn has been the most beautiful hotel we have stayed in since starting our Atlantic vacation. Exceptionally clean!! Very modern and beautifully decorated. Almost all the furniture and linens are hand made and outstanding craftsmanship and presentation of everything.Absolutely lovely breakfast and the dining room/breakfast room is stunning. We could have sat all day and enjoyed the atmosphere. This hotel sure knows how to create a welcoming space for every part of your stay. The staff were most accommodating and very personable. We felt so comfortable at The Tides that we wished we had more time to stay.100% Recommend. This is the place to stay while visiting Gros Morne. Bravo Tides. We will be back.Sharon and Noah

The Tides Inn
Great scenery and a very nice spot. We staid in the new building. Rooms are big with a private entrance and a private patio. Interior design is a little too sober for my taste. We missed wardrobes and shelves. Room lighting is very bright, even the bedside lights. That's why I only give four stars for an otherwise 5 star accommodation.

The Tides Inn
Very rigid and unaccommodating, they asked me to email my credit card information which is not a secure way to send information - so I put the same room reservation through their online system and asked them to switch my reservation over with the new deposit - they charged me a 25% cancellation fee - I asked if they could cancel the new reservation instead that was only a few hours old and they said the same 25% cancellation fee would apply no consideration - these charges were processed manually and they could have been helpful in any way before doing this, simply advising me they would charge me before putting the 2nd reservation through and cancelling the first - I added this credit card information at their request - and I have found them to be be unfriendly and rude, hiding behind policies with no human consideration.
