Dr Cheryl Handley

I had been avoiding going to a dentist for yeaaars, and I'm so glad that I chose to go to Dr. Handleys office :) Everyone there was so kind and knowledgeable and I felt great!

As a registered Dental Hygienist who has many years experience working in BC, MB & now ON. My temping experience was amazing, such a gracious dental team, and excellent patient-centric care. Dr. Handley treats all her clients and staff with respect. Many long term clients come as though they are visiting friends, just as your health care should be. I highly recommend Dr. Handley & team based on the client-centric care vs the new and growing corporate-office’s philosophy. One observation of when a dentist is good and ethical is when the staff are long term like Dr.Handley’s; staff do not stay when the employer or working ethics etc is questionable. I have known a couple of the team members long term, and the tone has been consistent: excellent respectful employer who values her staff and provides conservative ethical client-first oral health care.

My 10-yr-old daughter had a pretty negative experience with Dr. Handley. She was insensitive to my daughter's anxiety, and left her crying after the appointment, begging me to never make her go back there again. The hygienist was impatient and seemed annoyed with her for being anxious, and I ended up having to step in and defend my daughter when they insisted she was not in pain (when she stated clearly that she was). It was an awful experience. My daughter is now terrified of dentists. Perhaps for a child who is totally comfortable at the dentist, Dr. Handley would be just fine. But not a good fit for kids who are sensitive or anxious.

I moved from Vancouver recently , and I needed a gum surgery to be done . To be honest I chose this clinic because it's close to my home .. I'm so happy I did . Dr Handley did my surgery .He is very friendly , professional ,and the whole clinic atmosphere made me feel that I'm in a good hand .He even called after a day of the surgery to ask if every thing is ok , and it's only a minor surgery . I'm glad I made the right choice .

Dr. Handley is a great dentist, but contrary to the previous review (i can't figure out what the hell they are talking about) Dr. Handley is a WOMAN>
