3.5 stars - Solid place for some good BBQ in Guelph. Came here with my sister and dad on a Friday night at around 8 PM. I would come here again if I was in the area and in the mood for some meat. It was really empty, but it seemed to fill up as the night dragged on.The menu is small and filled with classic BBQ dishes, so you definitely know it's their speciality. We weren't super hungry, so we opted for the platter ($18) which included 2 meats, cornbread, and a large side. We chose the pulled pork, brisket, and macaroni. We also ordered some coleslaw to cut through the grease.Everything was good, but the stand out for me was the pulled pork. It was really really tasty! I loved the sauce and the tenderness was perfect. The brisket was decent, but not one of the best I've had before.The sides were meh for me. I think the Mac and cheese tasted good with the brisket, but otherwise, it was on the blander side. If I wanted this again, it would be with the pulled pork on top. The corn bread was also kind of dry and didn't taste very fresh. Kind of a disappointment since corn bread is usually one of my favourite treats when I get bbq. The cole slaw was, again, only okay.Overall, you get what you pay for here - which is pretty decent. Pulled pork is definitely the way to go if you come and visit!

The bbq was excellent and the staff were courteous. Everyone should try their pulled pork sandwich, truly a thing of beauty!

Had to post about this place. It's my new addiction!!! I have never tasted ribs as good as these!!! This is a lot coming from me. I've gone to a few different rib festivals, and they blow anything I've tried in my life and at any rib fest out of the water!!!! That being said they make an excellent southeastern salad if you're not so much in a meat mood. Actually come to think about it, everything you order there is fantastic and will not disappoint also well worth trying!!!

I have always gone there to get fries and onion rings always great, nice and crispy. Not tonite I ordered three orders of fries they were done faster than normal. Got home to put them in the oven to warm up and they where Soggy.. they weren't cooked long enough. I didn't have time to take them back cause it was 8:30 and kids do feed. So disappointed tonite.

I came here for lunch and really enjoyed my meal. I got a Chicken sandwich with poutine and they were both very yummy. Our server was very friendly and the food came out quickly. The price is reasonable for what you get. Great portion sizes as well.

Food was great, amazing portions and awesome price. Got the pulled pork with mac n cheese, buddy got the clubbed chicken and another buddy got the Carolina. All awesome. Only reason why we couldn't give it a 5 star is because it was very salty (expected I know) and oily (Not expected) That was on the pulled pork not the rest. 110% recommend going, top 3 best place to eat in Guelph.

If you're feeling for some good tender, juicy BBQ meats and you're in the Guelph area, you must stop at this place! The meats were cooked to perfection and the sauces were just right. It really hit the spot. My family had the pig skins" which was made up of meats in a potato jacket

Extremely small and expensive portions. I can't express how little you get. It's downright robbery. My pic of their $77 family meal. They also forgot a part of my order. *Update - Missing order sent out and received. Overall, portions is extremely small. No way does their family meal for 6 would feed even 3 adults. Let alone claiming 6. I use an app to record calls on my phone and have proof no such explanations of portions was ever explained. Go here: goo(dot)gl/hcSevL --- replace (dot). Further more, I will cease my recommendations of Royal dinner orders.
