Greg the owner, Sandra in the restaurant and gunner out in the grounds along with Spencer and all the front desk staff make this an awesome place.This place has been under new ownership since the last year during the pandemic it was closed for 2 years so even though the location and the premises may seem old, the management is all brand new.This place is a hidden gem. We spent three very relaxing days. There were a few hiccups. Some of The young staff who work at the restaurant are extremely inexperienced. Sandra and the other gentleman working at the restaurant holds the whole place together.The place is sooo relaxing. We spent our days canoeing boating in the sauna in the swimming pool in the hot tub. Just rolling around the grounds. This is a perfect place for families.The positives in the place way outweigh any little negative there maybe.

Views are simply amazing but rooms were pretty basic. Was a windy evening so wasn't able to take advantage of alot of the outdoor activities. Overall a nice place to stay for the views alone.

Loved our stay at this beautiful hidden gem!The service was excellent. Thank you Sharon, Mason, the chef at the restaurant, and the front desk ladies for providing excellent hospitality. The food is absolutely spectacular. Dinner and breakfast is a must, and definitely try out their Seafood Wellington Special, it's a wonderful dish.We visited this hotel during a ski trip and during the storm alerts for the city, the staff members were really supportive with accommodations and flexibilities.We enjoyed the pool, and all the other amenities the hotel offers. The area was clean and had a touch of scenic artistry which dives your soul to a rustic feel. It's very refreshing, especially coming from Toronto where we often see modern black and white tiles. This hotel has a classic elegant touch, nonetheless, it is very timeless.Wish to explore this retreat in the summer time. Would highly recommend to stay and explore this gem!

This place is amazing!!!! Such a pretty, peaceful spot.I could have stayed forever.From the rooms to the restaurant.The owners are so friendly and accommodating.I have to say hands down the girls at the spa were like no other!!!!I will hands down be back on a regular basis just to see Lynn for a treatments!!!! I DONT HAVE ENOUGH WORDS ON HOW AMAZING SHE WAS.Thank You

Had a wonderful time during the weekend getaway of April 29th. The indoor spa was perfect for the rainy weekend. Spa is open till 11 p.m. There is also a sauna next to the lake so some brave people went into the sauna and then jumped in the lake. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff members are friendly, helpful and attentive. Restaurant has beautiful view of the lake and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the seafood Wellington. Looking forward to come back during the summer and swim in the lake.

Stayed at Christies Mill July 8, 2023 and was disappointed, Room was terrible, #205 view was of a building and our room and balcony were over staff door to kitchen so staff were in and out all hours, talking about there tips and pay, and slamming the door, with a roof top full of HVAC loud and annoying. Our room was adjoining to another with a huge cap in bottom of the door and it sounded like we were in the same room had no privacy, and room had a bad odour. Wifi was in and out BAD signal and TV would lose connection every 3 minutes and spent more time trying to re load it, with no channel availability. Were told smoking in parking lot only, but resort has ashtrays at all entrances in the back ?? if it was no smoking outside why are they there.Called for room service as advertised on website and was told they do not do it, so had to go to restaurant and order takeout, very inconvenient. Hot tub Jets did not work and pool area was very dark with dead plants everywhere. Resort pictures are false advertising and was not worth the price. Best part was location and the way the lobby looked. Resorts needs updating, and needs to update there website so it is accurate. Called front desk to complain and they did nothing for us, so disappointed would of thought they would of offered to change rooms, take a discount off, BUT nothing at all. Management did not even call us. When checking out we had already paid in full and the girl said we had an eight dollar balance and could not even tell us for what as we paid online prior to coming....Very disappointed as we were there for our anniversary and we felt mis-lead on the resort.

Christie's Mill is such a wonderful place to stay in the Muskoka area. The staff are fantastic from the people working at the front desk to management and the restaurant. They go out of their way to suggest things to do in the area and are very knowledgable. The restaurant is a great place to be for the overall atmosphere, hospitality and delicious food and drinks. Jordan the bartender makes the most delicious margaritas ever. The amenities include a great pool and hot tub and options for spa treatments. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the area looking for a warm place to stay where you will truly feel welcome and enjoy your stay.

I just returned from a girls weekend away at Christie’s Mill Inn and Spa and absolutely loved it! We stayed in the cottage which is newly renovated with great views of lake. We went to the spa, which was lovely. The staff in the spa were attentive, friendly with fantastic service. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the restaurant the food was amazing.!! The hotel is very clean with beautiful decor. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait for to come back.

It is a shame that you were able to make Chef Al leave. we were always treated best by your chef. He made sure all of our dietary restrictions were well taken care of and we did not have to worry about having any reaction. When we found out why he left, by a staff member, we were not very happy. you can not treat people this way and expect them to be happy. Shame on you. needless to say we and most of our friends from the area will not be returning. you had such a great menu and chef.

My husband and I felt turned away. We live in Alberta and made a special trip to visit Christie's Mill as part of our most recent trip to Ontario. We received a gift card years ago before we moved out of province. We were concerned it wouldn't be accepted so we called in advance and were reassured that it was still good. When we got there the new owner wouldn't accept it. We understand why they couldn't accept the gift card, and were disappointed but not rude or argumentative. We are disappointed that she didn't try to make something work for us (especially since she admitted that we aren't the first people this has happened to). It was only after we came back inside to confirm that our credit card wouldn't be charged that she said she'd still like us to stay. I expected better communication from staff and more effort from the owner at the beginning of our interaction to make it right.
