Shoppers Drug Mart

This shoppers is one of the best Shoppers in Ottawa overall, although there are a few staffs' service are mediocre. I always shop here and I strongly recommend the beauty advisor Tina who usually works during the day. She is very experienced and helpful. Also, the store supervisor Erin is the best supervisor there.

If you are considering getting a prescription filled at this location, don’t. The pharmacists that work here will withhold part of your prescription so that you are forced to pay a second dispensing fee to get the rest. I had a prescription for 80 tablets transferred to this pharmacy and they only gave me 30 tablets. When asked to explain, the pharmacist claimed that it’s because I hadn’t specified an amount when I called the prescription in. Any pharmacist worth their salt would know that they are meant to provide the amount that was prescribed by the doctor unless the patient specifically asks for fewer tablets. I will be transferring my remaining prescriptions elsewhere, and unless you like being scammed for extra dispensing fees, I suggest you do the same.

My review of this Pharmacy is long overdue. I have been a client of this Pharmacy for years and years. It seriously is the best! They’re professional, friendly, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile. I’m a bit of a high-maintenance client but at this pharmacy they really do cater to my every need and are always super happy to do so. Coady and Lauren (pharmacist & pharmacy assistant) are awesome and I honestly couldn’t ask for more out of a pharmacy team. Considering it’s in the downtown core, they’re very speedy and never make you wait very long for refills or service at the desk. Truly the best Pharmacy around!

Went there a couple of weeks ago. Was served by a girl named Emmanuelle, was looking for a fragrance to gift to someone and I asked if there was any gift that comes with the purchase of the perfume (like any other Shoppers would give you if you buy a fragrance), anyway the girl said she would give me something so she tricked me to go the cash and pay first & once I paid she said she didn’t have anything to give. I found that rude to promise someone something & make them purchase first to secure your commission… I simply left without saying anything & went to another location, returned the perfume & repurchased it again with another sweet lady who pampered with tons of gifts & samples.Conclusion, don’t go there for any cosmetic needs. :)

The cashier told me the prices online are different than in store...

Called to get information on a specific product. Did not get the name of the young man in cosmetics who answered the phone. I just could not believe how short with me this person was. I am sorry if you feel that I was wasting your precious time by asking questions, however, if you are so overworked and stressed, maybe should not answer the phone and let someone who actually cares do it for you!!!! We all have bad days, so I hope for you this is just that...

I went into the beauty boutique about 2 weeks ago, and I'm still thinking about my experience. A younger beauty consultant with pinkish/coloured hair (wish I caught her name) gave me THE BEST recommendations. Literally exactly what I was looking for with my makeup selection but exceeded my expectations. I've been using the makeup she recommended since and I couldn't be happier. She was very knowledgeable in the products the beauty boutique carried! I will always want her help now!

This review reflects my experience shopping in the cosmetic department of the store. I live in the area and have a shopped at this store many times but never bought anything in the cosmetic department. This time I went there specifically because I need it to buy a certain product for my sister-in-law. I wanted to gift her a clinic advent calendar. I walked in the store knowing exactly what I wanted, went straight to the cash where there was one cosmetician, an older lady with brown hair, and stood there while she ignored me turned her back to me and walked away. I stood there a little bit longer trying to get the attention of the other cosmetician that was with her but both of them ignored me. Right away I felt very unwelcomed. I walked a little further down the aisle where I bumped into a young man called Paul. Right away Paul greeted me kindly and warmly. He knew exactly what I was looking for and was very fast and prompt to get it and ring it up at the cash. He also threw in a couple of free gift with my purchase. What touched me the most is when he said: this gift is for your sister-in-law but this free gift is for you because you deserve it. I felt that was such a kind thing to say. I had had a very difficult day in fact a very difficult month so these kind words from a stranger really made my day. I made a point to come online and write a review to congratulate the kindness of this young man. You never know how your kindness and positive words can affect a person’s day! Thank you Paul for being such an amazing person. For the managers who are reading this please give this young man a raise….he deserves it ! All in all I highly recommend the cosmetic department not only for the excellent customer service from Paul but because they had amazing high quality high end products that I really didn’t know you could find at shoppers drug Mart. It is a beautiful and clean department and it is maintained very well. For your Christmas shopping you can probably find anything and everything you want there. And you get optimum points that count towards free stuff too. I love shoppers drug Mart and I loved my experience at this store. Thanks Paul for making my day

Busy location, pharmacy on the smaller side but a super helpful and friendly pharmacist! Very thankful for advice while visiting Ottawa.
