Winchester Arms
Located downtown. Good pub food. A nice friendly pub vibe. We had fish and chips and mushy peas. Ordered 1/2 and 1/2 Guinness and later then same but cider. Not poured right. Mixed. Lager first then pour Guinness over a spoon to diffuse and not go to deep so they settle different. Tastes ok. But visuals key:) nice pub.

Would give 3.5 if possible, it was pretty good...but service was not the best, (not sure if our server was able to hear some of the attempts to get attention) and the 'pies' were more like stew with a topper instead of being in a crust. Granted, the menu item does say topped with pastry, but I still thought there'd be a crust of some kind to contain.

Winchester Arms in Dundas has 1/2 price wings & mini jugs of beer for their Tuesday special. Service and food were spot on. Our new “go to” on Tuesday’s. You won’t be disappointed. Food was hot and oh, so tasty. Service was great!

Tuesday night 1/2 price wings did not disappoint. We arrived just after 6 and it was pretty crowded, but staff were efficient, pleasant, personable, and attentive. Restaurant is dated, but love the pub vibe and how clean it was! Oh and wait..it's a restaurant and I should say something about the food ;)My son is a wing expert and he said these were the best...crispy and just dusted nicelyHe enjoyed the hot (2lbs) and I the honey garlic. We had to order a basket of fries 'cause they just go hand in hand with wings...okay maybe we should have order veggies but these fries were amazing fresh cut and absolutely no salt so you can season them to your personal liking. So 1/2 price wing night was a big hit and we will definitely be back. I would also love to come to have their fish and chips as I imagine they will certainly reflect the pub atmosphere!

Food was ok. Service and atmosphere good. Had nacho platter and garlic bread with cheese to start. Nachos had no flavor and little garnish. Garlic bread was good. Single fish and chips for dinner. Fish was good but not much for fries for $17. Wings were ok. Med was better than honey garlic which was tasteless. Dessert was the winner with their deep fried jam sandwich. Overall good not great pub food.

I heard this place did British food well, but I found it barely mediocre and actually left still feeling hungry? The staff seem like fine people, but the food isn't adequate even for this style of pub.

An excellent British pub experience based on the ambiance & decor alone, but my goodness did I love the food too! My fish & chips were awesome, and the side of mushy peas were the best I'd had in decades. It was a Tuesday night, which meant 1/2 price wings. Highly recommend the New York Butter style; perfect balance of heat & acidity in the sauce, and great calibre of wings too. However, the standout for me is absolutely the jam butty pictured here. What a unique and decadent dessert! Can't wait to go back and sample more of their delicious offerings.

My fiancée and I had a great experience last night, we were searching for a quiet place to eat & drink on our date night. The pub has a British eclectic feel with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress Judith was so pleasant & helpful with recommendations it made our night. We ordered the Irish nachos, deep fried pickles, a Reuben, bangers and mash and a take out of chicken curry. The beer & shots suggested by Judith were good.. we will be back for more date nights!
