Don’t expect fair/respectful treatment from this facility,, because it won’t happen. Being denied healthcare is something you don’t think would happen in Canada. I missed an appointment due to circumstances beyond my control, yes I did call to advise of issue,,I have to travel 90 minutes to get there,, of course they don’t answer the phone,, have to leave a message,, which they don’t call back,, I left another message x2. Finally I received a message this am,,,(after a couple of weeks)rudely informed to have my doctor to refer me “elsewhere”. I have been quite ill since February,, leaving me weak, tired,, pretty much housebound. It was a big deal for me to drive to Kingston for this appointment,, of course my vehicles breaks were bad.So cancelled my appointment requesting a new appointment,, the rest is history.

'Karen' I can't believe we're talking about the same clinic. How much notice did you give them when you cancelled your appointment for the brakes on your car not working (I'm guessing same day?) and how long did it take for you to get that appointment? I'm sure they can't respond to your negative comment due to patient confidentiality, but the staff there are not at all rude in my experience. If you take up a time slot that another patient (like myself) could have used, I can understand their need to move on. I think their policy leans more towards asking for another referral from your GP to make sure you're going to show up verses telling people to go to another clinic (yes, I asked them about their policy when I went for my appointment). The staff here are awesome - please don't believe the negative reviews as they are one-sided and the clinic cannot respond and talk about any difficulties with patients because they will not breach patient confidentiality.
