You’re barking up the right tree at this shop.To say that Scotty (the owner) sorted us out is an understatement.After giving us the best deal in town on a bike rack, he proceeded to imbibe us with a local Williams Lake hospitality that left the dope-smoking hippies at Red Shreds looking red-in-the-face.A slow week day meant that Scotty happily left his post to drive us to the top of a few of his favourite trails! What a guy! We don’t imagine this to be a regular occurrence but it gives you a flavour of how willing and able Scott and his mechanic Tyson are to get you on trail.Despite his calm and professional demeanour, Scotty is a devil on a mountain bike (as we discovered when we joined him for his weekly shop ride).Great trails are laid across Williams Lake like a cobweb and the boys at Barking Spider will make sure you don’t get stuck.

Scott and Tyson give their customers so much value in the way of customer service, time, and knowledge. I am a commuter cyclist and can admit to feeling a little shy in Williams Lake, where the mountain biking scene is more dominant. Barking Spider is a great place for noobs, though! Very comfortable atmosphere, and Scott and Tyson have always been so helpful and patient. Great place to support!

Scott and Tyson were very helpful and friendly towards us while we were in Williams Lake on vacation. When we went to the shop on our first day to gain some local knowledge, we were provided with a typed out instructions for two ride options on Fox Mountain. This allowed us to confidently hit the trails on our first day. We weren't initially clear on how to link the trails together on this mountain, turns out there are many trails not noted on Trail Forks! We rode both of the rides they laid out in the document. Tyson was even so kind as to introduce us to a customer who was in the shop and this helped set us up on some rides with the locals.Best customer service I have had in a bike shop, ever!

Ive bought my last 4 bikes from Scott, and its been a long time since i've come through Williams Lake. But, like I had never left, I called him today to see if by chance he had a serial number on file. He did! from 11 yrs ago. BSMB = service.

Just bought a Spark 60 from the good people at Barking Spider Mountain Bikes. They let me ride all their models and had lots of time to discuss different geometries and components before settling on the Spark. Good people.
