E-Exit - Yorkville Escape Room

I've been to several escape rooms in Toronto during the past few years, and The Dark Ritual" was by far the worst. The room was full of red herrings

Went to the Chamber of Serpents with my friends and it was SOOOO fun!! The puzzles are challenging yet enjoyable! Highly recommend!

Speaking as casual puzzle enjoyers, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time here! We chose to do Dark Ritual and were able to complete it using the hints, skips, and the 5-10 extra minutes they kindly offered to us as we were close to the end.It was definitely challenging enough for the two of us, but the puzzles don't feel impossible to solve, it was more of a matter of time. The hints were vague enough to still give you a sense of accomplishment when you solve something and were great to either point you in the right direction when you are stuck and not sure about what to do, or give reassurance that you are at least looking into the right thing, with the time ticking away.I've noticed in the reviews that some have commented on the quality of the props and decor, and while I can't speak for the other rooms and quite frankly, it has been a long time since we have done an escape room, but we found Dark Ritual to be fine. I don't believe E-Exit advertises themselves to be a premium escape room like some others, and they also offer a number of discounts you don't often see elsewhere, so I think it's fair.The puzzles were fun and engaging, and the staff were accommodating and friendly. We were initially a little concerned about doing an escape room with only two people, but this location and these rooms seem great for smaller parties. We would definitely consider going again and trying out the other rooms!

Amazing and helpful staff! We did the Sinking Feeling escape room and it was such a fun and memorable experience. I definitely recommend going here and I hope to be back soon to try some other rooms.

Had a really enjoyable time doing the Harry Potter themed escape room. The staff member working there was very helpful and polite. The issue that arose was this staff member quite obviously had not showered in a very long period of time. Everytime he walked into the room a very bad sweat smell followed, which though he seemed like a nice person, was very unprofessional in my opinion. It was so bad to the point that we polity declined his offer to take pictures as we didn't want him touching our phones. Someone needs to bring this up to him in a professional manner.

We had a great time solving That Sinking Feeling. The room was immersive with fun and challenging puzzles. Highly recommend as a team building activity, especially as the location is central.There are multiple games/experiences depending on what you're looking for. Alex was an excellent host and very accommodating of our needs.

I have already done two escape rooms here and each one was great! Really enjoy more “digital” games (I.e. not opening one combo lock after the other).Great for small or large groups as they offer private games as long as you have the minimum Numbers required!Suggestions: have a video to watch before starting the game to set the scene and the atmosphere for the game. This can be on the iPad already provided to the group. Have background music or make it slightly louder to set the mood for the game.

My co-workers and I had a terrific experience doing the Diamond Heist. The staff member we dealt with was very enthusiastic and explained everything very clearly. The room was challenging but the puzzles made sense. Excited to try some of the other rooms in the future.

Absolutely horrible experience. Our group have been to many escape rooms and this one was by far the worst one ever! Eight of us went to the Galaxy room on Saturday night, spent almost $500 on lame games and in a cheap room with barely and work! Also, one of the devices in the first room was broken which wasted so much of our time. Rather than being engaging and fun, it was boring and frustrating. We ended up leaving the room 10 mins early because we were all bored!We asked for someone from the management, and of course no one was there to be responsive! AVOID THIS PLACE! Such a SCAM

When we left a review here, we complained about a specific staff. the owner personally called us to apologize for his behavior and weeks later, that same staff also gave grief to other customers and the owner called again to update us that he was let go.the owner sounds very passionate and dedicated to his customers - although we haven't had a chance to try the rooms yet, he's offered to have us back and personally host us! really appreciate it and just wanted to update this review in the mean time.
