Man Vs Meats
Used to be a great spot. Used to have delicious food, pre-pandemic. However, ever since the pandemic they have been slipping, to the point where my most recent visit will be my last.On entering the restaurant, we were told that the process was 1. Grab a table, review the menu. 2. When ready to order, get up and go to the bar and place our order.I ordered the Thanksgiving Poutine. They said there’s no turkey. Huh? There’s only 4 meats. Beef, pork, turkey, chicken. Their name is Man vs Meat. Am I missing something?So, they suggested they could make it with pulled chicken. When it arrived, the chicken was large pieces of dried out plain chicken breast. Def not pulled chicken. The chicken also had that slightly ‘leftover, been-in-the-fridge-too-long’ taste.Won’t be back.

Today’s battle between man and meat was a real banger. The fight was unfair from the beginning, and I was outnumbered two against one. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous just before the bout began. Turns out, the large Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and Pulled Pork Poutine couldn’t get the job done trying to defeat me today. I finished every last bite and it was glorious. The portions are very generous, but I train for meals like this son.All the staff were very friendly and personable. I’ve been trying to cut down the amount of meat in my diet. Man vs Meats will pose a big problem with those plans. Phenomenal business that serves lunch and dinner, and they offer catering. So if you’re on that carnivore diet, give this place a try immediately.Take-out is available until indoor seating is available.

The food was absolutely delicious, everything we ordered came in huge portions, great prices and super friendly staff and the owner is awesome too, she came over and talked with us. I would definitely recommend eating here and I know we will be going back again soon.

Very friendly staff taking orders.I like to judge a bbq place by their Philly cheese steak.The steak was extremely dry, the bun was not fresh and completely soggy, the onions and peppers were rather flavourless and I did not even notice any cheese. Very sad Philly cheese steak sandwich.The blackened chicken corn chowder has a great spice to it, very creamy and hearty.The potato salad, fantastic - I wouldn’t change a thing.If my main was as good as my sides, you’d get 5 stars, but it was the Philly I was looking forward to knocking my socks off.

Great spot for HUGE portions of poutine. Service is a little sloppy, and tables are sticky, but the food is yummy.

Delicious food. Popped to Thunder Bay for a day trip during my vacation to Duluth, MN to see family. This place was definitely the right call for dinner. Super casual, good portions, good price. Will definitely come back eventually.

Bring your appetite for this place!Chicken sandwich I had was DELICIOUS!Potato salad was really good too.Also keeps some local beers in house, I like that!Not sure if the guy that took my order owns the place, but he made awesome recommendations and cared about quality like an owner would. Tells me the chicken is marinated for 24 hours, no doubt it is with that flavour!

Very good, but not enough for 5 stars. Again it was very good. Jason the owner, took care of us with there craft beers. So many different choices of meat! A quiet little inside with room for over 10 parties or about 30 plus.

This is another one of those good, but not great places. Can you even have bad poutine? Portions were good sized. Server seemed distracted, even though we were the only table in the place. Food came out pretty quickly.
