Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Richmond - Ironwood

A huge thank you goes to Ms. Sasha, and the rest of the Kumon staff. My son was 4 years old when he started in July 2020. He is enrolled in Math. In a few short months he is confident with his numbers and additions. He recently started to be more independent and does not ask for me to sit with him while he is working on his Kumon. He has also started to jump a day ahead on his homework. I notice more confidence in him and he is happy that he understands his math. There were some struggles but Ms. Sasha was there to adjust lessons where it was needed. Kids need to go through adversity, be it in the classroom or outside of it. I believe, Kumon has a very good program to teach individuals to be an independent learner. Thank you Ms. Sasha!

Greedy Kumon.My son (grade 5) is really passionate about math. He loves to solve equations, build graphs, loves to look for new methods of solution, loves algebra and geometry.. But today a very unpleasant story happened to us. We came to Kumon for testing because my son really wanted it. He told me that he was not even allowed to try to solve fractions! He received assignment for the first grade, although at home he easily solves for the 8-9 grade. My child is very upset right now, he is really good at math, and I have a very bad opinion of your center.When I saw him after the test, he was close to hysterics.

my daughter was learning math and reading from her three last year in this location. and the teachers give her and my family a lots of advices about how to teach my kids，how to let them interest in study. very helpful，very kindly. love this center so much！！！strongly recommend it.

Both of my kids are learning Maths at this center. From past few months I really could see they had big improvements in their maths skills and concentration on works.Ms. Sasha is very professional and always adjust the difficulty of works according to my kids' level each week. She likes to communicate with me about any problem during their learning. Great instructor, great team and great center! Recommend!

Ms Sasha and her team are fantastic! In a few months, our child was able to count and draw her numbers with their guidance. Highly recommend sending your kids to this location!The attention to detail from both the instructors and Ms. Sasha is very thorough. They bring a high level of energy when teaching our child.

All teachers are very patient and responsible. My son likes to go very much. Ms Sha sha is the best. She often communicates with you in time about your child’s learning progress and adjust the leaning plan suitable for him. My son’s progress is tremendous. He can read books now. I highly recommend this center.

Very friendly and supportive staff. Spend lot of time sharing their knowledge and experience with the parents after each class for the betterment of the child to achieve their goals. I would highly recommend Ms. Sasha and her staff since I have seen good improvement of my child.

Miss Sasha spends a lot of time discussing and explaining the Kumon materials with both the students and the parents in order to allow the students to have the most suitable learning plan and achieve academic success. She and her team proactively asks for students opinions to adjust the learning plan according to the students' progress and abilities. She wants the students to enjoy learning and build confidence rather than stressing themselves out with a lot of homework and finishing with a time constraint. Many students enjoy coming to the center because they want to learn from Miss Sasha and actually spend time talking with her. I would recommend this center as I have seen a lot of improvement from her students.

Both my boys went to this Kumon location for English and Math. Thank you Ms. Shasha and her wonderful team, my boys have dramatically improved within few months. Especially my younger one starts Kumon at 6, from zero reading skills to now enjoying Harry Potter books at the age of 7. He learns from single digit addition, subtraction, to 3 digital division now. Both boys loves Math, enjoy reading, and especially loves goes to Kumon classes twice a week. The centre feels welcome, caring, and positive for kids and parents. Thank you Ms. Shasha for not only caring for each individual kids and also the parents, always willing to sharing her experiences with teaching and parenting. Looking forward to learn more from you!
