As tenters, this was a pretty great little spot! We were a little worried when we first arrived that none of the spots would be ideal as we do rely on usable fire rings or bbq structures and many of them were lopsided, one was even just taken right out of the ground, and rely on some tree coverage to stop wind. We drove around the loop twice before settling on the spot with the most upright bbq beside the playground. Note that the highway is close and there is a residential area all around you. Trains galore. The washroom has flush toilets and a shower. The shower is controlled by an on/off switch. Nice and warm! The bathroom structures do however really need a desperate upgrade, and the shower could have been scrubbed a bit better. Dirty floor and moldy caulking. Be careful using the bbq structures, most of them are quite rusty but function well! They swivel so just be very cautious when doing so. :) the owner was absolutely lovely, we had a lovely chat about the wonderful animals in our life. They came over with a debit machine so I assume that means tap/contactless is available to those who prefer. There was free firewood and free showers, wifi is available but we didn’t use it, and it was $20 for a tent. We’ve dealt with crazier things at other campgrounds, but all in all we both found this campground to be quite comfy. For those who arent lulled to sleep by the sound of the highway or trains, you’ve been warned! Thanks again so much for a quick one night stay.

Loved this campground - super friendly staff who didn't mind being called after hours to book us in. Highly recommend.

Very nice campground, has everything you need. Quiet, not too far from the highway. Owners were very nice, good conversation. 35.00 per night for 30 Amp service. Sani dump.

This is a nice, quiet campground operated by the friendly and hospitable Gull Lake community residents. It has a small playground, electric and non-electric sites, FREE firewood and the washroom & showers are VERY clean! The prices are VERY affordable for an overnight stay. It’s cheaper than staying a night at a Provincial Park in Ontario. We stayed at this campground on our way to BC and returned on our way back home to Ontario. I will DEFINITELY be coming back the next time I’m heading out west!* Note: It’s a short distance (5min or less from what I recall) from the highway.

Very nice little campground. Power and water were on the right side which was weird. Free wood but with the tiniest fireplaces so we didn't bother. Super friendly owner and very accommodating. Coming back for sure.

Sweet little place in town to camp over if you need a place to stay for the night or even a few. Lots of trees and well looked after. We had stopped in for a picnic, it was perfect

Nice campground, however some sites are occupied by locals/seasonals who spend the evenings blasting music and partying (even on Tuesday nights). Other than that, theres bathrooms and showers. Nice folks too.

Easy stop off the Trans Canada, it was quiet (although you could still hear the train but it wasn't bothersome, train traffic seems to be true for any town along the highway). Easy walk to the little grocery store in town. The facilities were functional and clean. RV sites were defined, tent sites were a little more free-format (pick an area and setup). I'd definitely stay here again.

Great for our needs - a place to stop as we cross the country! Easy self service check in. Washrooms were immaculate. I even lifted the rubber mat trying to find a lost earring and was not grossed out at all. Great to have a dump option at exit. Easy pull through serviced sites (although picnic tables can be awkwardly strewn in the middle, blocking). One loop, all middle sites are pull through and the side sites seem to be small and more for tenting. Wifi strong and even reset quickly after a storm.

Amazing place to stop for the night during a roadtrip. Easy to find just off highway 1, yet it was very quiet at night. Incredibly clean and well kept bathrooms, and the campground owner was very kind, replied to emails quickly, and clearly cared about the condition of the area. Would definitely stay again on another roadtrip!
