The World's Tallest Tin Soldier

Out with the old, in with the new tug boats. Kids playground with three tug boats, lots of buttons to push, levers to pull :). I like the pipes that kids can use to give each other commands as if they are steering the real tug boats. Nice touch NW.

The world's tallest tin soldier is located right in downtown New West by the Fraser River. This is a landmark that cannot be missed when visiting New West, this is also the best starting point to strolling the quayside, on either direction, to the east or to the west. Patullo Bridge is also on the background and is perfect for photo ops.

Very whimsical. Fun little place on the water. Right next to a tug boat for kids to play on. The walk around is nice and fun to visit the core. Lots to see and do for a little downtown. Even when it's raining it's nice to be out and about. Would reccomend checking it out and enjoying the view.

Awesome river front area to relax and enjoy with family. Lots of great shopping places and restaurants. There is a nice Gelato ice cream place and a cafe.

I was passing by river market and I found out the world's tallest tin soldier. It's just next to a market where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables and the area has such a nice lookout.My sister and me got some pictures and enjoyed such a great time, watched the sunset and ate some seafood from the boathouse which is a restaurant with an awesome service. It's a bit pricey but definitely worth the view.Just in front of the tin soldier there is a small playground for kids around 10 years old and next to it there is the Fraser River discovery centre as well.We had the fortune to enjoy everything around during Christmas time and it's so colorful because there are Christmas lights almost everything, so when the sunset is coming, there are a lot of good spot to take pictures because of these lights.It's also an area where you can go enjoy a nice sightseeing, do some exercise, take your dog for a walk or go with your partner for a date.It's definitely a great place to go to visit in case you live far away. Won't be disappointed and highly recommend because everything around is very clean too.

Probably an unnecessary use of tax dollars, but the kids seemed to enjoy it.
