They are honest and certainly do not try to keep you coming back to raise a big bill the way I have heard some vets do. Our cat was so relaxed there. They took excellent care of her and stayed well under the estimate. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly and are true animal lovers. :)

This place is amazing ! All my pets love the vets here and race to see them. They are quick and diligent and are easily reachable when I need them ! Love dr. Frances (hope I’m spelling that right) <3

Doctors in the clinic are good, but all their efforts are for nothing thanks to to their reception staff. My husband made an appointment for our cat by phone. Girl said they had spot on Wednesday at 1:40. When we came to the clinic at said time, we were told we are late for 20 minutes. And they turned us out! It seems that the receptionist said 1:40 to us, but she marked 1:20 in her books. To say I was disappointed is to say nothing. I don't know how they can do business this way.

We have recently left this clinic and do not recommend it for any owner of a dog with anxiety and/or aggression towards other animals. While the vast majority of staff are very pleasant and work well overall with the animals brought in there is a culture amongst the staff of not taking warnings and precautions seriously when prompted to do so. Employee pet dogs often roam freely within the clinic, even when assured all animals are secured you can quite often find that is in fact not the case. On our final visit a week ago there was a cat that staff had to remove as it was openly wandering through the waiting area. We have never encountered this at any other vet clinic in our history of pet ownership, only cats kept safely behind the front desk at prior clinics. Thus we have been unwilling to allow the staff to take our dog to the back area not only because he does better anxiety wise by our side but also because we simply can not trust their words or actions after repeatedly witnessing lax behaviour of one handed leash holding while not paying attention to their surroundings or having other animals secured as they claim. Our dog is 140lb molosser breed genetically built for burst and takedown, no matter how we tried to explain that it was never taken seriously. We left this clinic because we are no longer willing to roll the dice knowing the outcome could be something tragically irreversible. All vets at this clinic are quite good for our needs save one, Dr George. When questioning his behaviour to a vet tech she informed us that Dr George had a past negative encounter with two large breed dogs similar to ours. It is abundantly clear to us that he is uncomfortable. Dr George is hesitant to approach our dog despite having explained the dog has no history of human aggression. He regularly flinched during every appointment with him potentially creating unnecessary suspicion for a dog with a naturally acute radar. Two years ago Dr George was so hesitant to properly examine our dog for a jaw issue that he completely brushed us off as over reacting to our dog losing the ability to open his mouth as he once could. Despite repeated examples offered of the recent difference in his ability and behaviour, including the dog yelping in pain when yawning and steadily declining to a 3 inch yawn we were told not to expect our dog to be able to open his mouth wide just because he’s a big dog. He asked us to pry the dogs mouth open so he could see how far it would go which if followed through on likely would have caused the dog great discomfort and possibly further damage. His exam was nothing to speak of. He ultimately stated he agreed to a referral for a CT scan on our insistence and for liability, not because he felt it necessary or recommended it. This was the single worst veterinary appointment we have ever witnessed. At our next appointment a different vet at the clinic agreed something was very wrong. Post CT scan our dog was taken to Toronto and endured two jaw surgeries in the span of four days to correct the issue, a bone overgrowth on his orbital bone causing a lockjaw effect, they had to wire the bone back in place after removing the growth, not a minor procedure or non issue. At no point after being informed of the situation did Dr George address with us his lack of proper care for our dog, unlike multiple other vets at the clinic who readily apologized, admitted and agreed the ball had been dropped.Recently this clinic has changed policies with new management. They are no longer willing to perform any procedures outside, even nail trims citing the possibility of pet escape. Through most of Covid we have been able to get many services outside with no issue or concern from staff. Given our unwillingness to hand our dog off we had as obligated continued to pay for care club without actually getting services until our contract expired this month. This clinic is great for the average cat or dog but not the right clinic for a dog like ours. Despite our ongoing struggles with this clinic we wish its staff success in the future.

Had one appointment with this vet and the woman was very nice and seemed good at her job. She recommended some diet weight loss food for my chihuahua and everything was great. The only problem is when I needed more of this special food I would not get anyone to call me back . I have now called 3 times over 8 or so days and have left a message each time but have never heard back . I ended up calling VCA Mathew’s and they answered right away and set aside a bag of the food for me to purchase . Next time I will just do everything at Mathew’s.

I gave 1 star because I can’t gave 0. This is the most horrible service I’ve ever had. I had an argument about the appointment and there was a tall lady threaten me about forbidding me entering the building forever. I can’t believe the way they treat customers, or because I’m minority. I missed the appointment really because of the rush traffic and unfamiliar with the place. What they do is just give me a rejection call and threatening! I really hope the future customers can understand their unprofessional and unfriendly service. There are better places for your pet.

Wonderfully kind vet and staff here, my Kitty needed immediate surgery and they took us in right away and they helped us with compassionate pricing when we had difficulty affording the procedure. We have hopefully many more years with our senior kitty thanks to you guys. I won't go anywhere else now.

We have attend this clinic for 4 years they have seen my dogs and puppies anytime we call. Todsy they refused to vaccinate my pups because they said they will not vaccinate litters of puppies no more. They also refused to see my adult dog because I have a litter of puppies. I have been dealing with vets for the past 25 years of my life and have never herd a vet refuse to treat a dog because we have a litter of puppies. They stopped doing reproductive services that's understandable but to refuse to see my sick dog is absurd. This is no repo service it's a vet check on a dog that's not well all because I told themI have puppies. My suggestion to anyone wanting to go here is to NOT ATTEND THIS VET BY ALL MEANS AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. No vet should be legally allowed to refuse medical services to an animal or animals. If we could give this place -10 stars we would. I was nice being your client for 4 years but now it's time to find a real vet who actually cares about the well being of all animals.

Had an appt with a sick cat. Visit very sad. News not good. Three days later back with the other cat who was sick. Both vets were so understanding and very kind. Would recommend this animal hospital to anyone. Great and caring vets.

We have started seeing Dr. Brendan Chess and are SO happy he is now a vet at this clinic. We have never felt more heard or helped with the care of our dogs. He explains everything very well and works with you to find the right treatment for your animals. I would 100% recommend him to anyone we know. We also love the front-end girls, they are so accommodating and friendly.
