The Orchid Restaurant
The food was good. We did reservation but had to wait for half an hour to get in. Later came to know they do not take reservations. I had tomato soup which like good but was very salty. You can stop by to have a quick breakfast or brunch.

We had a great casual brunch here. The food was a classic mom and pop diner style food and the service was great. Exactly what you’d expect.

Excellent quaint restaurant. Great breakfast food, hot, cooked perfectly and super fast service. Perfect pricing! Not overly inflated compared to other restaurants in this day and age. Very friendly staff. First time visitor that is new to town and my wife and I will definitely be coming back here on a regular basis.

I was in the area with friends and went there for breakfast. All of the meals looked amazing. The service was great. We were approached periodically by 3 different staff to take our order as they each knew we didn’t order at that point (great communication). It wasn’t like most places that you go to where if you are waiting on who’s assigned to your table and call someone over for something hear “this isn’t my table”. I recommend that you this place at least once.

Nice place. We were told this is their 4th location. Good price for good food. Love that they have smaller portions. A must try is the apple pancake. Loved it!

Food was decent and the service was good. Was caught off guard by the upgrade cost from fries to a Caesar salad, that the waitress didn't inform us of. The cherry cheesecake French toast is a must try. Lots of parking and clean bathrooms. Will return to give them another shot.

The Orchid always feels like home. For a busy establishment the staff and owners are always so kind and friendly. This morning the owner took our baby for a walk while we got a few minutes of eating with two hands. It was incredibly sweet! The substitutions for Vegetarian items (replacing the meat for an egg or a pancake) is great and not a lot of restaurants do that. We highly recommend the Orchid for its service and food!

Always an amazing meal at The Orchid. The breakfast poutine is my absolute favorite. Servers are fantastic, friendly and make you feel at home. Food is always fresh, hot and comes out quickly! This place is a regular weekend visit for me and will be forever!

The Orchid in Thornbury was quite honestly one of the best breakfast restaurants I’ve ever been to. The hospitality was amazing, very friendly waitresses and a very homely feel. In addition to the homeliness, the food was fantastic, like homemade cooking but way better. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
