Action Door Services Ltd

I haven't actually used this business, however they are extremely unsafe drivers. Their van pulled out in front of me to turn right onto the highway and nearly caused a severe accident. They clearly didn't check before they turned and if I hadn't of slammed on my brakes, or if they were ice, I could have been dead. Then when I pulled up alongside them I saw the driver texting and taking selfies on their phone. Not a good look for any business

Very poor communication. Garage door took +7 months to deliver. Supply chain issues apparently. Rather than keep me updated, I had to call/email subsequently to understand status. Upon installation, they missed the decor items. The full amount (Over 2.5K) was charged to a card on file that I used for deposit for the door. I DIDNT GIVE AUTHORIZATION FOR THAT. I never even received an invoice before my card was charged!The decor items that they missed were included in that charge, even after I spoke with rep and he said it would be removed.Upon trying to reconcile, for over 2+ days, I spoke with the manager who refused to take the charge off of the card, which I never authorized them to charge, and didn't receive an invoice! I let him know I was going to dispute the charge with the bank, and he said go ahead

Bought the house about 3 months ago and the garage door has been giving problems since then, we called for technicians, first time they came, fixed it little and was supposed to come back with a part but never showed up, our door stopped working again, we called the office for an appointment -a) the person on phone - Shelly was very rude, after much back and forth gave us an appointment, never sent a confirmation, come to the appointment day no one showed up and we called again to see if a tech was still coming, again Shelly decided to be super not helpful and rude, said there was no appointment booked and refused to give us another date with a confirmation. Very poor service and inconsiderate person answering phone calls who refuse to understand people’s concern about their safety. Why in business when you can’t keep up?

Waited for a month for service. I had to relay the same information multiple times (at least 3 different phone calls relaying the same information). Then they couldn't keep their appointment unless I had a scissor lift!!! Why would your customer be able to supply tools for a repair? The height of the machine was communicated at least twice ( and they have serviced our door before). Would not recommend.

If you don't have enough staff, hire more. I’ve been waiting for a call back for more than a week, ridiculous. Don’t you feel sad or shame to see your company get only 3.8 ratings? I’m pretty sure it will gets lower.

I had a problem with my garage door and Action Door Services sent technician Geoff out to fix it. Today was not the most pleasant day in town with temperatures hitting minus 16 deg C and snowing. None the less Geoff went straight to work on the repairs and within 15 minutes the door was running smoother and better than it had been since I moved in a month ago. All of the problems were repaired quickly and without a hitch. It is very rare to find a true tradesman these days but I am glad to say that Geoff did a great job and I have given him 5 stars for a job well done !!

As a customer of Action Door Services for about 15 years I am very pleased with not just the quality of their garage door/spring products but also with the skilled work of their installers.What is equally important for me, as the homeowner, is that when there are complicated, challenging situations there are people willing to listen, understand and assist. That is where this company really shines as the leadership team, assisted by a friendly front desk staff, goes above and beyond to accommodate your circumstances.Nowadays, you do need a certain amount of luck to find a reliable company with very good people to do business with and I am quite glad that search for me is over when it comes to garage doors and accessories.Dan

Terrible.After installing the wrong garage doors (mismatched) on our new build home, they finally came with the correct doors several months later. Except one had a dent. The tech noted it and ordered a new panel. I was told to expect up to a 4 month wait- typical is 6 weeks, but they were experiencing supply chain issues. After 8 months of zero communication, my homebuilder and myself both began trying to reach Action to inquire about the replacement door panel. No answer to either of us... ever. After over a year, I got a call to schedule service. I was scheduled to be the first call of the day with an arrival between 9-11a. Action called the day before to confirm this. At 1130am, I started calling Action to inquire where the tech was. After receiving no call back, I called again at 1230pm. Turns out, the tech ignored the first appt of the day" instructions and prioritized someone else instead. I've now been rescheduled.They don't make money on warranty claims & take that out on the customer!"

This is now the third time I have used this company. They understood my urgency when yet again the cable broke leaving my garage open and fit me in as soon as they could with an great technician who was efficient and very capable. The price was very reasonable and special thanks to Shelly who was kind, understanding and funny and kept me informed of when they would have a person to come to house. All the ladies were great and had amazing happy, attitudes as well.It made the stress of the situation easy to deal with and I will use this company again and also tell others to use this companyThanks
