Vellore Village Skate Park & Ice Rink

Ice rink in the winter is awesome! They take care of the ice too and there is a warm change room. Would be best if there was a designated time for hockey players, but they generally are really good at skating and avoid you.

Great family fun. Best thing is its free.

terrible park.. obviously was not built by skaters and very obviously neglected. cracks in the ground and sticky rails. features get in each other's ways and there isn't even a flat box.. don't come here to skateboard.

There are better rinks in city of toronto and North York.

So many people play hockey there. I felt like we were gonna get killed with hockey sticks. I wish they had a security to prohibit that.

The skatepark looks nice at first, but the mini ramp is in bad condition and you get no speed because there are many bumps and cracks in the concrete. The euro, the stair set and the hip are the best parts of the park. The box jump sends you flying, which is fun, but it is hard to do tricks on. The rails are good except for the curved rail because it very weird to hit. The ramps are sooo smooth, but the flat areas are ruff like sidewalk. I really don't like that because if I bail on a trick, I can slide down the ramp with my pads but then as soon as I reach the bottom, I come to a halt. This is very annoying because I am very used to being able to slide down ramps. This is an ok skatepark that I occasionally go to, just for something different than my local.

The skatepark is great overall, but the design of the skate park is quite sketchy because there is lots of unused grass behind the quarter pipe which could have been use as an elevated flat area or a bowl. The lighting isn't too good either, simply because there aren't enough lights to illuminate the whole skatepark properly. The lack of lighting makes it quite dangerous to use the park at times, especially when it gets dark early. Another thing to note is that the skatepark does not contain any sort of drainage grates in effective areas so when it rains, the park becomes covered with water. Once the water dries up, it leaves dry dirt all over the skatepark because the dirt is pushed from the grass hill onto the skatepark. In heavy rain, it becomes really dirty and slippery. This skatepark deserves better maintenance. It seems like the city of Vaughan does not maintain or upgrade any of its skateparks.

Pretty good experience all things considered. I dont like that you have to wait 20 mins to get on the ice. Im also not sure why we werent allowed to have sticks and puck (ice was clear by than), Also security woman was kind of rude.

It's a great place to hangout and vibe for teenagers. It's right by a catholic high school, the community center and a library! I love going biking there with my friends personally. They maintain the park well and in winter It's a skate rink.
