We are one of many sub contractors to the essence team and have been for many years. It has been obvious since day one that they care for the end home owner with care and attention. They have a Great team and we have encountered many many very happy home owners. Great job to their team for pushing the limits and surpassing the client expectations.

I'm very disappointed so far. I purchased my new build home about 6 months ago and the finishing and the workmanship is very poor. This is not my first new build however this is the first time I am experiencing so many issues. The paint jobs are terrible and need to be re-done, fixtures are coming lose already, the AC didn't work when I tried it for the first time. The repair guys stood me up when Essence sent them in. The driveway is stained from construction vehicles and all i got was shrugged shoulders. I have a long list of issues that will hopefully be dealt with at the 12 month mark, but I hate to imagine what may fall apart after that. A huge issue is that while the service team are responsive to help book trades workers in to do repairs, it is a Monday to Friday business and I have already had to take a lot of time away from work to be home in the middle of the afternoon to let them in. There is no compensation for that or even acknowledgement of that hardship.The house was not really clean when I took possession, and there was builders dust everywhere as well as dried paint drops on kitchen counters and window frames. It is like the developer really didn't care about the finish.A really exciting moment for myself and my daughter has turned into a pretty big disappointment.

Been working with Essence for 20 years and have nothing but good things to say. Very organized team that knows how to effectively communicate. Have never had to deal with any issues when working alongside their team. High quality product from a team who really cares.

I purchased a unit from Essence at their Tribute townhouse complex. I am very happy with with the place I call home. My kids love the playground and we have had nothing but good experience with the customer service team.Customer service team have been very helpful with all the questions we had and all the warranty issues we brought up.I was so happy with Essence that I also bought a unit at their Eastin Condo. I cannot wait to see my condo unit once it is ready.I highly recommend Essence as a developer.

Purchased a unit from Essence and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Buying our first home was intimidating enough and this developer made the process so easy. From clearly laying out our feature options + upgrades right to dealing with their homeowner care team, everyone was amazing to deal with and cared about our experience.Amanda from home care was wonderful to work with. She facilitated our first walk-through with ease. having to do this for the first time, we didn't know what to expect but her attention to detail was immaculate. She gave us a chance to point out some areas that needed to be fixed and really took the time to listen to any concerns we had so that our first home was ready by the time we got our keys. :) we're so happy we chose Essence for our first homeWould definitely recommend. thank you again!!!!

Very good service and good attitude to serve clients by all means.Tribute Essence Properties was our first home in Langley. Greeted by the developer management team, excellent sales and service team. The property is well designed and built. Will cherish the property, and keep it as my home/place for long.

I have lived in my town home for a little over a year and I love it as much today as the day that I moved in. My home is so beautiful and the whole experience dealing with Essence property has been great. I had a few small things that needed attention with warranty and the team was great. The 2 guys that came to do the work were so polite and did great work for me.I would recommend this builder to all my friends and family as they do good job of building my home.

Using the cheapest material in everything.. selling overpriced units with the promise of having a swimming pool, a hot tub, and an amenity room, fancy right? Well, everything is either not working or working poorly, even the AC units they installed isn't of good quality... everything, literally everything is cheap and not worth the money we paid.I won't even start on the excuses they make to get away from fixing the issues we report.One last thing, they only care or fix something when they get a 1 star review and ask people to delete their review (so they can sell their cheap overpriced units to others ;)

Essence constructed our presale as cheaply as possible. In addition to using poor materials, the workmanship also left a lot to be desired in our presale property that we have lived in for only 2 years. Examples of just how poor the build is include our parkade floor that is in the process of being assessed due to the massive cracks that appeared approximately a year in. We have had issues with our heating, our shower had to be replaced, the paint job in the unit was poor, the electrical work is definitely not up to par (we noticed a solitary warm spot in our flooring within the first few months of living in our unit).It pains me to see their logo while driving around the Langley area. Prime example of inflated home prices for poor quality homes.

Update:In response to the reply from Essence Properties:The walkthrough was limited to deficiencies that are noticeable from a normal viewing position under normal daylight".The vent shaft issue wasn't identified because it was HIDDEN by a plastic panel.The door scratch wasn't there during the walkthrough.
