The Doctors House Inn & Spa
I enjoyed a wonderful stay here at the Lavender suite. It had everything I needed and was well-furnished. Customer service was top notch and staff were attentive and caring especially the lady who served breakfast in the morning at the Secret Garden Restaurant. The lady who served dinner was amazing as well. They called a couple times prior to my stay to confirm my reservation and check-in time as well as dinner plans, which I thought was a nice gesture. They provided clear and detailed instructions for upon arrival and check-in. Food was great and ambiance outstanding - no complaints. I could tell that the other guests were enjoying their meals just as much as I was. Stunning views all around and wonderful hiking trails that take you closer to the ocean. The overall experience was lovely and I would definitely come back again!

The Doctors House Inn & Spa
Upon arrival of the house we were greeted by Stephanie, who took us to our room and made us feel quite welcomed.
We the began to look through our room before settling for the night, and discovered hair under the comforter and on the sheets.
I contacted Stephanie, told her what happened, and she moved me to another room, and to our shock, this room was actually worst than the first one.
There were hair on the pillow, the sheets, and even the toilet seat. The floor under the bed was really dusty, there was cod webs on the wall, and even stains on the tub.
The cleaning staff were brought in to take care of it, and Stephanie apologized, and offered the room complimentary, and even went out of her way to provide a little gift for our troubles.
Then we sat for supper, and Sandra, the host, was wonderful.
The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was wonderful.
We found the room kinda stuffy, but slept ok.
Then we went for breakfast, and it was cold, and we were greeted by another host, and were told we may have to wait for food, as she did t have the key to the fridge.
She finally got it, took our order and we ate a breakfast that was not that great at all.
I appreciate the apology, I appreciate the complimentary room, but we were celebrating 25 years of marriage, and this place just didn't meet our expectations

I stayed at The Doctor's House for a Caker's Escape retreat in April. The weather was chilly and wet, but Jerry and his staff were so incredibly warm and welcoming! They took excellent care of our crazy group with delicious food, pampering, and catering to our whims. I'd say we were subjected to 4 days of outrageous customer service!" If you are looking for a scenic and romantic getaway, look no further than the Doctor’s House Inn & Spa. I took a trip here with my girlfriend and we had a wonderful experience. The property is located in a quiet alcove in Green’s Harbour. There is a place down the road called Jiggs & Reels that is great for a quick lunch or dinner if you don’t feel like eating on site.The rooms are wonderfully decorated, clean and simple. You’ll find a coffee maker, mini fridge, and a large and comfortable bed inside. Everything down to the choice of lighting is eloquent and well done.Their on site restaurant is amazing. The breakfast was delicious and the dinners are fresh, flavourful and enjoyable. If you get a package offer, you can get a dining credit for the food. The wait staff are all incredibly kind and friendly. They want to make your experience a good one.I’d highly recommend the Doctor’s house for a getaway.

Beautiful venue but entirely overpriced unfortunately. I attended for a wedding so I booked one of the bungalow rooms for myself and my husband, it was a fairly nice room but $200 a night is insane for what it is. If I had my own kitchen, TV, and backyard, ok mayybe, but that's not what it was. Not to mention when we arrived and checked in, there was hair on the floor everywhere, looked like dog hair. The food is very expensive, I'd recommend going somewhere close by to save. Most of the staff are friendly, but overall, I wouldn't return because of the price and the stress the bride was put through (very unorganized wedding planner)

We visited to celebrate a 3rd anniversary of the day I didn't Die. My wife and I did a little staycation there. The service and food was very nice. Thank you to the staff for providing a lovely time. Social Distancing protocols were excellent.In true Newfoundland fashion, we were greeted by the owner Jerry at breakfast. We chatted a little, and were personally thanked by him for our business. Very nice.You should go there!

Beautiful location, the accommodation itself ( in the main building at least) and food was fine without being exceptional. The farm animals make for a nice touch!

Stayed in guest house upstairs Queen bedroom.After visiting the other buildings and other rooms in the guest house I think we got the best one for view, ease of access (as long as you can handle stairs, but there was private stairway to the hottub/deck which was nice), and room aesthetic.Only downside to the facility was a fair amount of cobwebs up top. But otherwise we were pleased! Staff were friendly and the grounds are beautiful. I enjoyed all food prepared and portions were fantastic.

Overall a good experience with a few minor complaints.The positives:- the food is remarkable- the staff are very nice and polite- the property is beautifulThe negatives:- our room had a teeny-tiny garbage pail that filled up within an hour or two of us being there- the lock on the door to our room was sticky/stiff and hard to lock/unlockOverall, our stay there was a positive experience. I do think the bungalow rooms (where we stayed) could be improved with a more rustic decor -- the existing decor is a little vanilla and wasn't as warm and inviting as I hoped it would be -- but this is just a small criticism that won't prevent me from returning in the future.
