Neighbourhood Movers

Normally if I don’t have something good to say I don’t say anything at all but I feel the need to forewarn others. This guy was given 360 view of every room in our home along with pictures gave us a written quote then while they were there gave a verbal quote for packing got everything loaded on his truck while we went to new house to prepare for them to arrive. We received news that they didn’t have enough room on their truck to get everything in and charged for a second truck and then sent a quote for double the amount and wouldn’t let movers take anything off the truck until he was paid, by this time we had already e-transfered 90%. Thankfully my son went over to look and found damaged walls (not scuffs holes)and stair railing in our old house which they weren’t gonna tell us about they also left items that were to be moved in the house our computer which he insisted he had definitely packed 3 bar stools a bench and an armoire in addition to this our contractor and son said it was colder in the house than outside turns out the turned on our air conditioning in December and didn’t turn heat back on luckily no frozen/burst pipes… they then proceeded to damage our stair railing in our new house…. I would be very wary of this individual he will demand etransfer only and hold your contents hostage after reading other reviews turns out this is this guys mo. He doesn’t equip his movers young guy lady and older man with proper equipment for move.

Broke a large picture a 100 year old cabinet was shsttered and a brand new recliner was broken and still had the nerve to charge 800 dollars. Im sure the driver was hung over . Now the owber will not respond. Also goes inder the nam cruise moving. Would not recommend this company at all. Also tjr driver took about 5 20 minute breaks and still charged for tje time.

Only giving one star because there is no option for zero. Awful awful experience. BEWARE!!!!! Our items showed up very damaged. Owner will do nothing about it and doesn’t have the time of day to care. The drivers didn’t go straight to our new house, instead the left for 45 minutes with the truck loaded with our things for their “break”. On top of our things being damaged, several valuable items did not make it to the new house.

The gentleman loading my stuff where extremely awesome if I could rate them alone I’d give 5 stars.However the delivery aspect of it was not as good. When the owner delivered my goods(5 days late) he poked fun at the way I labeled a box, the box was damaged, the goods that where in the box which are one of a kind and rather expensive where broken and damaged.When I texted the owner about it I never got a response.Edit April 3 2022:Response: unfortunately that is the phone number I texted with no response. Worst service ever! -Went to the wrong address far away to the other side of the city and tried to blame it on us and charge time- 2 movers but only one was doing the job and they were not getting along, stalling the move. -Said they were to take 30 min break but took more than 1 hour -Didn't put things where they were supposed to go at the new house. -Some items were found missing. - Broke our TV legs which took extra ordinary time and headache for owner to resolve. Charged inflated bill which we had to fight! PLEASE STAY AWAY!!

My moving company was hired by this mover to complete the second part of a move in BC. We were told we would receive payment BEFORE the move, but we didn't, but we didn't think that would be a problem. After the move, we were told, twice, that payment would come at the end of the day, still has not, 6 days later. If this review is still here, that means we still have not been paid yet.

Awful...We booked this company months ago and even called to confirm the time a week before. Yesterday on moving day, we drove an hour to our old place and waited for them. They were set to arrive at 9. At 9:30 we received a call that the driver had slept in and they would be a few hours late. I asked for an ETA when we could expect them and he said he didn't know and to call the owner in an hour. We had no idea if someone was showing up and even made plans to get a uhaul and do it ourselves. We waited an hour and tried calling the owner for over half an hour. At 11 we finally reached him and he said the movers would arrive in an hour. Finally the movers showed up at 12:50 - 4 HOURS LATE. They drove their van over my neighbors landscaping, which I took photos of, and parked their van. They immediately asked me to pay the moving bill. I told them I was not paying until the job was done. They began a small one bedroom move, carrying everything upside down, including my filing cabinet and wardrobe boxes. The one mover told me he needed his phone for driving and needed my phone charger to charge his cell phone. The driver then told me I needed to pay my bill yet again. I told him I wasn't paying until the job was done.We finally got to the new place and they unloaded. The owner gave me 5% off for them being four hours late. It took the mover a long time to figure out the bill. He gave me the wrong price as he had forgotten to deduct the deposit. Then he gave me the wrong email to etransfer so we canceled and had to start over.It was a stressful, nerve wracking experience. We will not use ever again. My boyfriend is moving next month and we are thankful to have selected another company. Your stuff will be in better hands somewhere else.

I’m literally not happy with this company they were a fill in I had paid for 2 hrs . One worker took off and left the truck open while the other worker was putting my bed back together, they left my couch on the 3rd floor didn’t bring it up , horrible , they left some of my furniture at the place where I last was and the guy there told me what’s going showed him exactly what stuff was coming . They left one of my rugs . One of my book shelves doesn’t have it shelves my black one ,one of my entertainment stands was left there .then they gave me a 500 bill for for the 2 guys that messed up 4 hours and they charged me for another 2 .. And I paid them to get it done in one day .. I do not recommend this company at all I beileve they are terrible and they the one older gentleman didn’t write down was being taken or didn’t let me know on the day off it was more til after they didn’t deliver the rest of my bed . The rest of my bookshelf. And after hours.. do not risk going to this company . The head guy was hard to reach on the phone too

Wow, I should have looked at the reviews on this company. Worst moving company I have ever seen. I will have more to tell everyone about very soon.

Moved in took 3.5 hrs. Tried charging for four. One guy was really rude .broke some of our belongings. Didn't use cargo blankets.Didn't tell us about change of price till after we started loading.The other two guys were descent
