Just had my exterior stairs replaced by Boru Carpentry a couple of weeks ago. Very pleased. Great job and great clean up. Would definitely recommend.

Kevin is a gem! We recently bought a house that needed a few repairs. Additionally, we wanted to have the carport enclosed into a garage. So we contacted Boru Carpentry to give us a quote. As we walked around discussing the work we needed done, Kevin took notes and asked good clarifying questions. He produced a thorough quote, clearly outlining the breakdown of costs, as well as identifying potential additional costs due to the unknown condition of the underlying structure.As it turns out, one wall had extensive water damage, so we ended up needing an entire corner section of our lower floor rebuilt. After diagnosing the extent of the problem, Kevin calmly explained what the scope of work would be. He and his team did excellent work from framing and weatherproofing, to interior drywall to exterior siding.We had the additional complication of being out of town while much of the work was being done. Kevin was very communicative in texting photos of the progress they made each day as well as presenting us with key decisions to be made as they arose. For the garage portion of the project, Kevin coordinated with the electricians and garage door company, relieving us of the burden of having to handle that ourselves.We were so satisfied with all of the work Kevin and his crew did. We will use them again for any and all of our projects in the future.

I was lucky enough to hear about Kevin from a friend, and immediately upon first meeting hired Boru Carpentry to do a fairly modest job for me, i.e., replace a flight of exterior stairs. I am more and more delighted with the finished product every time I look at it. If I have to be honest, it turned out much nicer than I had envisioned. In fact, the entire process was a pleasure from start to finish. Kevin is an honourable businessman (yes, they DO still exist) and despite the most uncooperative weather, the remarkably skilled and meticulous crew were invariably cheerful and courteous. Kevin and his team are hands down the best of the best! Courteous, respectful and extremely friendly. I forgot flexible and punctual too! We live in Fanny Bay, but the team arrived exactly on time everyday...regardless of the commute.We hired Kevin and his crew to renovate our Bathroom, Kitchen, Living room, main hallway and even added trim for the whole house during the midst of things.I also changed the plan last minute to include us living amongst the reno....yikes right!?! So this now included daily check ins for working around our busy wacky schedules.That didn't affect the job in the least for them. They worked around us being home, left the house in a livable state at the end of each day and stayed on schedule and the final total for all my unforseen extras was still with in the initial estimate.The finished product, our home...looks amazing! The attention to detail and commitment to making sure everything was as I had invisioned was remarkable.Communication was very clear and Kevin made sure to check in each day with the next days plans. We had unforeseen set backs but he just scheduled around anything we set forth.I give the team a 5 star review and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a minor or major renovation.We will definitely be calling Kevin again for anything we need done.

We live in Courtenay and contacted Kevin about a deck that was becoming a little unstable, and that we had concerns about the safety.He came round to check it out and offer some suggestions and a price. He talked through all our options, he was extremely detailed and knowledgeable and was clear how much it would cost and what that covered. He stuck to his price and did an incredible job.
