It is a great place for people struggling with addiction problems. The building is older, but there is a small store that serves food and non-alcoholic drinks, and the place serves the purpose it is meant for. There are AA & NA meetings held there throughout the day, and the place is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Vancouver Recovery Club has a friendly atmosphere. They host all sorts of different 12 step Recovery groups, such as A.A, NA, CA, CMA, HA, & SA.On Friday evenings they even host clean & sober dances.

Have attended a broad sampling of 12 step recovery groups over the past 10+ years of having substance abuse issues. Some people get better, some people get worse and some stay at about the same level. It's tricky negotiating friendships there as so many clients are struggling mightily with a monkey on their back. Still it gives addicts a place to come together and to share their experiences and attempt to find compatible compadres (friends). At one time (and possibly still) they had a very low key Saturday night drop in music cabaret that didn't get an audience but did feature some decent musicians and singers. It seems that music touches on the same spiritual notes that the 12-step programs promote, and seems to be a key element for healthy recovery.Give the place a try and see if it helps you. Try to find at least one positive/safe friend that you can share your struggles with. And if you can reconnect with the more positive aspects of your self, your life can get better and worthwhile again. Good luck to everyone that comes looking for recovery and health.

good sober space with adequate meeting space. (opinion time) the saturday NA meeting is honestly the best out of what they have available. the location is both convenient & not at the same time- its quite inconvenient to get to if youre coming from east van, but its nice that its far enough away from the DTES to feel safe.
