When I decided to move back home I literally spoke to about a half dozen agents. I had a list of criteria that I was looking for in an agent, and I felt it was important that they be met. My biggest consideration was value. There's a lot of things I can live with, or without if the value is there. I also wasn't in a rush as my home was listed for every possible cent it was worth. Because I had time on my side I felt it was important that I disclose that. In the end, this is all about trust, and I trust Kathy 100% I eventually learned that when she warned me that I wouldn't like a house, she was right every single time. There was two houses that I liked which we made offers on, and instead of getting wrapped up in the moment, she calmed me down on my valuation. She was right as neither house sold. That kind of advice is invaluable as far as I'm concerned. In the end, we bought a place with great potential to use as a future rental, or renovate a little and sell. I can't imagine using anyone else in the future.

I worked with Kathy at Home field for a house purchase here and I have to say that it was the most positive experience I've had purchasing a home, I should note this was my 6th time going through the house hunting process. Being new to the area, we had lots of questions and she was very quick to answer, if by chance she didn't know something she was very quick to follow up. She even provided me with a detailed check list of things I needed with regards to banking, utilities etc which is a first I've seen and shows how committed she is to her clients. We worked with Kathy Dawson to sell my mom's house in Goderich, Ontario. Mom is 92 and built the house and lived in it until she moved into a retirement home. Kathy was very sensitive to the emotions in selling a beloved family home and was very gentle and patient when dealing with a 92 year old. ( Especially with the paperwork) Kathy went above and beyond navigating our family on this journey. We cannot thank Kathy enough for her attention and hard work in this journey.
