Thunder Bay KOA Holiday

Great location - close to the city, yet far enough from it and the highways to make it feel campy. I found my site a little tight for a 31 TT and a truck to park... something was going to stick out in the front or the back a bit but it wasn't bad. Good selection of goods in the store (including amethyst) and they also have propane fill service which is great.

My first review was removed. It is a nice campgrounds, BUT the folks who camped behind us had a good evening and continued with chatter around fire pit and kids playing until midnight. The next morning on the way to the bathhouse, I followed a lady in who had her dog in tow right past the posted sign reading No Pets." If you have rules

Sadly we didn’t get to stay here because the weather was too cold and we had a tent, however I will give them 4/5 stars for their customer service. The site we picked was still snow covered so they moved us to a dry spot but it was too out in the open for our tent (and surrounded way too close with RVs) so we asked for a more covered spot. We were given some flexibility about choosing another spot but it was too windy and snowy for us to set up and stay in a tent. We cancelled pretty much half an hour after we checked in. The campsite team was so kind and refunded us for the night no questions asked. Thank you so much for your kindness and understanding. Looking forward to hopefully actually staying here next time.

This is a great KOA! We arrived after hours, but the only sites in the night registry were 15 amp and not full service. The manager magically appeared on a golf cart and was extremely helpful, getting us right into a full service pull thru! This location was very well maintained, the sites are pretty level, grass was well manicured and it had all the amenities, including a large playground. They had a propane fill service on site and the cutest little cabins. We even left with a smile due to the reminder sign at the exit!

One young gal was extremely helpful to me with my questions even locating a shop in town for me. I had a nice spot to stay. The highway noise, and loud young adults the night I stayed had me wearing ear plugs.

Nobody enforces quiet time rules. Was up past 2 am as a result of rude neighbors and nobody to tell them to shut up.

I love stopping at this KOA! I arrived here after driving for eight hours from Winnipeg. It was a hot day when I arrived and took advantage of the amazing pool and area—it was so refreshing.I had a 30 amp pull-through site. The washroom and showers were clean with hot water. I did two loads of laundry, filled my water tank, and emptied my grey and black water tanks.The staff are super friendly and helpful!

We stayed for a month and it was great! Nice dog park with 2 separate areas, quiet atmosphere, convenient trash can locations.The propane fill up was a nice amenity. The laundry is pretty expensive ($5/wash, $4/dry) but that's probably typical, although it was a lot cheaper at the Duluth KOA.Would stay again in the future, definitely recommend!

The campground is very nice and well maintained. The staff are friendly, engaging, professional and knowledgeable. I would stay here again.
