The Carter House
Kelly is an amazing host.. This was our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast and it surpassed our expectations! The room and property were beautiful and clean. Breakfast was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend anyone staying on the Island to stay at The Carter House!

Had my first visit ever to Manitoulin. We were celebrating a medical victory for my husband, and wanted something a little luxurious, not some conference centre kind of hotel. I did a lot of looking in order to find just the right" place. I liked the look and story of Carter House

The Carter House
Better than any hotel I have ever stayed in. Kelly and Jason so friendly, gave us good places to go for dinner.( Watersedge Pub and Restaurant ) which is also a five star.Places to visit. Sat around in the eve and chatted for a few hrs, before heading to a nice comfy bed and cool room. A 125 yr old house! Sk beautiful.. thank you Kelly and Jason for a nice start to my vacation..❤

Would definitely recommend The Carter House to everyone looking to visit Manitoulin Island, it is the best bed and breakfast around. Kelly and Jason have put so much love and attention into this historic house, no detail is amiss. The beds are absolutely luxurious, the linens and towels are plush and the rooms are bright and inviting with newly renovated ensuites. Breakfast was very delicious with fresh fruit and many options to choose from, Kelly does just a fantastic job. Steps away from Bridal Veil Falls and a wonderful nature trail. With Kagawong at your fingertips, you can experience it all and have a relaxing stay at The Carter House.

Kelly was a very attentive host, no details were overlooked. The home cooked meals were fantastic and the breakfast options offered something for everyone. The beds were extremely comfortable, luxurious bedding, towels and bathrobes. Each bedroom includes a private ensuite with modern amenities. The Carter House shows pride of ownership, spotless and very comfortable. Steps away from the Bridal Veil Falls, The Bare Naked Beauty Spa and the candy store, the Carter House #BedAndBreakfast is the perfect getaway for couples, friends or a single retreat! I highly recommend it!

Wonderful place!This Bed and Breakfast is immaculate . Beautiful grounds and a very welcoming hosts who are sure their guests will have a great stay.The home itself has a very interesting history behind it.Inside the home is absolutely stunning . You have to see it for yourself!Bridal falls are right across the street as well .

Getting married in July, we didn’t want to go on a tropical vacation until winter so My husband and I chose the Carter House for our Ontario short honeymoon. The scenery was spectacular. We stayed in the Bridal Veil suite and Kelly and her husband couldn’t have made our stay more memorable. Beautiful suite. Food was fantastic!! The atmosphere wonderful!! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay on Manitoulin, this is it!! You won’t be disappointed!! Thanks Kelly!!

The Carter House
We had a great 2 night stay at the Carter House. Great location, right beside the Bridal Veil Falls and close to Cup and Saucer trail, Gore Bay, etc. Kelly is a great host and really takes care of you. Breakfast is amazing (and big)! It was unfortunate that when we visited a lot of the restaurants were closed for the season, but Kelly helped us find good options that were still open. Would definitely return next time we visit Manitoulin!

This quaint B&B is full of character and charm. The rooms are luxurious and the attention to detail is flawless. Sipping coffee on the covered porch listening to the water flow over Bridal Veil Falls makes for a perfect start to the day. I highly recommend The Carter House.
