My family went on the Quick Start Kayak Course where we spent two fantastic hours on the water with Joel from Aquabatics. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and you could see that he loved teaching the skills. His enthusiasm was great to see. It was money very well spent and i wouldn't hesitate to do another course with AQ Outdoors. We got way more than we expected and feel way more comfortable in our kayaks now. Thanks Joel, you did great!

Great experience at AQ. Purchased roof rack and cargo box. Gentleman upfront (forgot name) helped to work out a deal and the installation crew had it knocked out in under an hour. I genuinely appreciate your professionalism, cheers to a great season, OUTDOORS!!

Little disappointed with this location. Some do not seem happy or willing to help with warranty questions and the constant lack of inventory is annoying. Their lack of Yakattack accessories is a pain. Bought a Old Town 120 PDL from them and was happy with that.To bad they do not have really any competition here in Calgary.

Over the course of a five day intermediate level whitewater kayaking extravaganza with Simon from Aquabatics my skills and confidence improved more than in my past five years of paddling.Simon expertly kept the group in a golden area of learning by adapting on the fly to keep everyone just on the edge of our comfort levels, all while providing helpful tweaks and techniques at digestable speed to promote profound and lasting benefits as a paddler.The AQ storefront in Calgary was also an exceptional experience fully stocked with anything a dirtbag could dream of and armed with a team of knowledgeable, friendly and attentive staff who clearly shared the same level of stoke" we had for water sports."

A great evening of paddling with Aquabatics quick start course. Lots of choices for equipment including different kayaks. I was concerned about having a Kayak that would fit as I am a bigger guy and there were a couple of choices for stable comfortable boats that fit me nicely. Robin and her partner were great as they reviewed kayak equipment, safety and skills. Lots of time on the water to practice paddling skills and enjoy the experience.

I’ve paddled with Aquabatics for years and have never once had an unpleasant instructor. The staff are all wonderful, and Simon is the best. I absolutely recommend for anyone who is even somewhat interested in paddling

My wife and I loved the intro to river kayaking course for the following reasons:1. Accountability from instructor Greg, right from the beginning he met our concerns about whether we were registered for the right course or not. And with the logistics that were a challenge due to Covid.2. Humor and skill from Simon and Greg3. Finesse from Brandon.We learned a ton, from wet exit, wet exit in current to eddy turns to seal entry and class II rapids how to know where to go!!!!We are so excited now to continue our skills on our own and then come back for more.I was worried I wouldn’t be challenged or advanced.I was challenged and I have entered (humbly) a new world of kayaking. One of which I have wanted to do for over 3 decades!!!Btw amazing couples weekend... learning a new set of skills together and facing some fear- it’s a fantastic way to learn about each other and grow together!!

This course was a fantastic introductory to kayaking. Lucas did a great job with the content, the demo's and helping everyone out. If you are wondering is this worth it" - the answer is YES!"
