Never a fan of licorice before trying this place. Great set up and atmosphere. The staff at first came off a little moody but turned to being helpful and enthusiastic. It was a pleasant experience. Amazing quality candies. My favorites are the chocolate toffee ones and the regular black licorice. Must visit on your next visit to Granville Island. Will go back to try some other flavors.

It is one of the most unexpected licorice place I've been to and I'm glad I visited the place. I found several nice selection and the ambiance of the place is also lovely. The staff at first welcomed us with genuine eye smiles and helped us a lot. The candies are surely amazing and of high-quality.

As others have said, the woman who typically works here (manager?) is unnecessarily rude. They have solid gluten free liquorice though, so I go once a year for Christmas shopping & get a reminder that some people never change.

Amazing little shop on Granville Island. A lot of my favourite British sweets I knew as a child in the UK. Great service as well and they do mail*order!

Super cute shop. The licorice candy is just too pungent to my taste….

So much variety! Very delicious! I also really appreciate the labels indicating which are gluten free and gelatin free (which the majority are.)

Excelllent selection of licorice and candy! The staff is very friendly, helfpul, and knowledgeable. They are always able to recommend a similar kind of licorice if one is not available.Definitely worth a visit for all licorice lovers!!!

This is our favourite candy shop in Vancouver. It has an inviting and cool atmosphere with friendly staff. My kids love the sweet conversation about the origin of the candies and their particular flavours. What I like the best is to be reminded to set a budget for the kids. ;)

Was there two weeks ago. One customer with children. Older lady helping them with candy and weighing it. One younger guy. He did ask me if I needed any help. I asked how it worked. Asked if it was okay to buy just two pieces. He said yes. But then didn’t offer to help me or find out what it was I was wanting two pieces of. The boy then turns his back to me and starts doing stuff with the stock right behind him on the wall.Another lady was running around the store doing stuff. The irritating thing is she had no issues walking IN FRONT of you over and over to get by to go to the back stock room, while you’re looking at the products along the wall, and never says excuse me and definitely doesn’t offer help, never mind even say hello. In fact. No one. Said hello.“3” staff. 1 set of customers. Yet. Two free staff manages to make one customer feel like you couldn’t really be bothered. My own manager was teaching me just that day how when there’s customers in the store STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND GIVE CUSTOMERS YOUR UNDIVIDED ATTENTION BECAUSE IF THE CUSTOMER SEES YOU ARE BUSY THEY WON’T NECESSARILY ASK FOR HELP. YOUR FIRST PRIORITY SHOULD BE THE CUSTOMERS. While I understood it in concept… seeing it from the customer’s perspective myself that afternoon it just fully made sense. That boy never offered any help after asking and answering to see if I wanted any more help. And his back was turned to me. I felt like “never mind it’s okay I’ll go elsewhere”.You didn’t just lose “a sale” you lost “a customer” customer that might never come back. Please don’t cross in front of a customer over and over to get to the back stock room when customers are browsing. Or least say excuse me. You made it feel like customers are in your way.
